Thread: Petition to the devs, in memory of the loss of a beloved player!!!!!

I think we should all endeavor to make a positive impact on people's lives no matter be it in a game or real life. I wish I had known him better. He sounds like my kind of person.

I know lots of people are planning to come on spiders or rolling on spiders...but in addition to this, Savage Fangs is going to try to do something special for Nidor on our wargs.

I may have to purchase my Warg for this. I swore I wouldn't give Turbine any more money in this game, but this is a pretty worthy occasion.

Hopefully you guys find a balance of what you want and what is realistic to honor his memory.

i certainly understand the sentiment behind this. One suggestion i can add is NOT to rely on turbine devs....why not make your own memorial. This could be in the form of an annual "Nidor" award choosen by his peers. You guys can come up with a freep/creep committee, agree on a criteria, and award that special someone who displayed whatever characteristics you decide on. Also, there are several charitable events during the year that can be a venue to honor Nidor's memory.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting this gentleman, however, I have read this thread and this thread: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...1-3-Nidor-Rock. I read the real life obituaries posted there. Anyone who has not read them really should. That was one hell of a guy. I wish I had had the chance of being killed freepside or taught creepside by this guy. He really looked like a fantastic man as well as a skilled player.

As such, consider this petition...

I didn't know Nidor until now, but anything that has to do with cancer always touches close to home with me. My son has gone through that battle twice. Thankfully, he is okay now. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, and to the players that knew him. So sorry for your loss.

Personally, I'm voting on having "Nidor's Rock" named in honor of him.

One of the reasons I play this game and look forward to logging on creepside was to run with people like Nidor. I would often hang back in awe and watch him play and patted myself on the back whenever I pounced to save him or trap some prey for him. Even grinding DoF was bearable whenever I was grouped with him.
