On the whole minstrels in the moors thing, I think what most saddens me most is the complete lack of healing by some minis and the propensity to just sit back and blow their derp rez, all the while thinking they've done the best job they could possibly do. Between the 5 man rez, the target forward healing and the warspeech ragers it just feels like actual healing minis have become a dying breed.
Such generalizations, you will fit in perfectly here.
before you get all bent out of shape about the number of mini's next time, take a good look at their buffs. Its pretty hard to heal others while in war speech...
yea, your track shows 98238973287 healers, of which 5 are in the raid and 3 are actually healing.
That sounds like poor leadership to me. That or the class is so broken that said raid can still go toe to toe with a full creep raid, at times a full creepraid plus gold tags. As stated before, 12 freeps that play their class to the fullest potential can easily wipe a full creep raid. As for WS mini's healing, have you ever tried to 1v1 a WS mini? I'm 0-10 or so across all my creeps, all of which are at least rank 5.

./agree. WTB more minis like Nimfae, Katism, Battious, and basically any mini that is a team player, not going for KBs but healing/buffing the raid, and traits the good rez. Too many red traited minstrels out these days.
I still long for the days of slower, good fighting where it came down to tactics and competence of raid members.

I have little doubt that you guys over there still managed to make more points than us tonight, making this sort of post a little un-called for. Even Freeps must have a tough night from time to time.

Lemme hop in here...I read the first 2 pages only of this thread. Dunno if I count as a "better" freep but I've been at it about a year off and on...almost rank 9.
I solo alot because it suits my AFK schedule. As an adult player I look for things that I find in groups like Skullslicer's, Voa's, Shanehere. ( if I leave you out its an oversight) These things are respectful communications with group members.
Shane is great, we most all agree. He taught me a ton about running with the big-boy raids over the months and I feel welcome in his groups. There are those leaders who are experienced and good with reknown but don't share these traits (instead there is cursing, belittling, etc.) I avoid them when I can. I try to gracefully exit the group if it gets to be too much.
My 2 cents. Fraid leaders just be respectful and you will attract good players who can become good PVPers with practice.

/agree. There are other fine freep raid leaders (I am never so partisan as to not give credit where it is entirely due) such as Yelk (offensive) and Jmez (defensive). But Shane's general goodness of heart makes the experience of playing with him especially memorable. Those of us who followed him in that SoM winter all remember his heart fondly.

hehe fair enough. Honestly I was not hating, have never had any issue with ya. Remember I played an RK out there too and got hated on because, oh lordy, I didn't crit for 83,000 lightning on every skill, and for being super OP (even if I wasn't) so I feel a certain comradeship with every RK. But I did say, you guys must surely have made more than we did, not that we made more than you. Very solid groups out there, well played. Good luck, sir, with all your endeavors.

You weren't there when I pushed ta last night and the night before? wiped both times. TA is no picnic. I went to cows and got owned by so many creeps I couldn't count went and sat in TR, realized although I was losing defending a keep would be too easy so went open field with wall to back behind TA for a fair fight. I've been more then fair every night, and like Elo pushing and dying TA today all the freep leaders are trying to make it as fair as possible away from TA.

You have my respect sir. As you say TA is no picnic and to lead in such a potential maelstrom is no mean feat. Most-perhaps 90%?-of players simply rely on others to assume the burden of command and whilst it is true that no raid succeeds without the talents of all 24 members in the end only a good leader can ensure success under difficult circumstances. I have led myself and in truth can only wish I had shown the talent (and produced the results) of such as Yelk and Arrik. Thank you, gentlemen.

Yes bunny, a well balanced freep raid with good players in it has always owned but many key things have changed.
-5 man mini rez- the most unnecessary skill I have seen to date. Creeps work their a** off for every single kill and when we are fortunate enough to line some kills up there is always someone who can get one of these off and it completely changes the course of the battle. So drag freeps into npcs, well with the way dps is now npcs die incredibly quick. I remember the cows being great but even they die within seconds from aoe's. Or the other option, dedicate some of my dps to keeping minis in combat but that does not work cause its takes away from my main dps (which I can't give up) and if they die then the minis get out of combat anyways. I would love to see a raid with all minis in ws and cappies healing...minis just dropping out of combat to get a rez now and then, might work great lol that's the sad part.But ya know to shorten this rant up freeps should not even need this skill.
=Freep dps- yes yes it has always been great, but now it is incredibly easy to be great at. I see dps'ers that were average at best before isen now doing incredible damage. One of the last freep raids I led I took target assist off and told everyone to kill w/e they wanted and sang the whole time (against a ranked creep raid)...ya we won. That should not happen. Even with a very good freep raid before isen I don't think that could have been done, you needed a degree of focus fire and discipline.
=Mits/Audacity-Every freep with high mits and audacity makes it that much harder to kill, and through the intense heals and survival cd's makes some targets (and only increasing every day with more and more of it) a waste of time to even look at. Creeps have it too but cmon, when you are dying as a creep you are dead lol, audacity does not change that. Not to mention the fact that every class (correct me if I am wrong) can get between 8-12k morale and still have the stats needed to play their class well.
-Class make-up-This used to be the biggest weakness of freepside .I remember when i was lucky to have 2 minnies in a raid lol. Now w/e you need just put it in glff and boom 9 times out ot 10 you will get it. This is not necessarily a bad thing but something that has changed dramatically in the last year or so (Maybe a little bit longer ago).
With these changes freeps have gone from 'hey they are kinda op that's lame' to 'Wow this isn't even a fight anymore'
You think its fun that creeps need 1.5x-2.5x the numbers to kill a well balanced freep group/raid? No its really not and the real a-hole here is turbine for letting it get like this. Anybody who knew me before all this knew that I loved and valued a fair RvR fight, it's why I played this game...but ya know those days are over it seems. How can I keep being 'fair' when I go and fight a fraid open field with 24 and I get 4 kills for their 40. Or maybe I do real well and line up 12 kills but 1 mini gets a rez off and the whole fight turns around. Tbh I am out of ideas, out of strats and out of patience. I am sure this will be trolled to epic proportions so I will just say this. Come to creepside for a week or two, join some raids, read this thread again and tell me I am wrong.

I don't know where to go or what to do, if I engage one craid open field and own which I most likley will they go to TA, if I go to TA I can't win, if theres enough creeps there's 2 craids and I can't win. It's either mass dps and ownage for me 24v24, or a slow massacre of huge creep numbers and lag, or TA. I don't blame the creeps one bit, I'm just depressed we cant have good old 10-15 min fights that are close and both sides get points and kills =/. It's nobody fault atm but the way things are.

I think we can tell what side Turbine plays just by looking at the number of skills freeps vs. creeps have. Warleaders are essentially the Cappies of Creepside, right? They have... two? healing skills that aren't overly impressive. While WL's are in demand, it's only for their rez. WL's, in my opinion, should have more use. Wargs should be the harassers of a raid, keeping minis in combat, sniping off minis, eating hobbits. There should be similar power levels on BOTH sides on comparable classes. Reavers are sort of like champs, defilers are minis, BA's are obviously hunters, wargs to burg, etc etc.
Just think. How would a 24man warg pack do against a 24man burg pack?
I think the mini rez is OK when we get better heals creepside, as well as better dps. Getting heals is fairly tricky in a raid unless half the raid is WL's spamming the group heal. Also why I think defilers need some buffs.
Freep dps is insane right now. Even someone with a pure dps, no survival, PvE build could easily pop out to the moors in a raid with some minis/cappies and just have a ball. Yet, I don't think that freep dps should go down, as obviously freeps need that dps in PvE raids. Instead, Creep dps needs to be increased... dramatically.
GOSH yes! I remember like a week where all i heard about was a raid with 8-12 minis. I think there was one with 15? Before ROI I remember having problems finding minis for anything it seemed. What confuses me is when a freep raid disbands because they're crabby that the craid disbanded. Why'd the creeps disband? Because we don't feel like being cut down like grass through a lawnmower... by lute playing light armor classes!
If freep audacity gives the same bonuses as Creep audacity, that needs to change and is insanely unfair. They already have armor that helps with those stats, basically, and we don't. They don't need audacity as they didn't really have it before and they were doing Fine now weren't they?
With a certain major game coming with world v world PvP, you would think Turbine could step up the Ettenmoors. I LOVE the Moors, and I hate to think of that changing because Creeps are underpowered, and it's just an unfair, un-entertaining fight.

Lol not interested yet you do it plenty. What happened to 'hardmoding' against Voa on your, and I quote, "MAIN" toon, aka your WL?
If you want to even things up freepside try challenging yourself by not using a full raid. Like when I farmed your full craid+goldtags 4 times with 18 freeps without hardly any losses a few months back.
