    Player written Books

    I just read an article on massively discussing the feature in some games of allowing player written books. The moment I read it, I thought it would make a fantastic addition to a game like LOTRO. This is such a lore rich game allowing players to create & leave a bit of their own lore behind could be a fantastic way to play. I would love to come across a player written book in middle earth.

    AC1 had that. My main had a couple of books of data in her own packs, and lots more on a mule. But AC, having simpler graphics, could afford to have a character carrying a lot of text across a landblock. LotRO -- and, for that matter, AC2 -- with their gorgeoud landscapes and character details, couldn't.

    Re: Player written Books

    Alas, we've been after Turbine for a way to write our own notes/journals/records/pages etc., since day one, and htey've yet to throw us a bone on the matter.

    I'd love to be able to keep an in-game journal, on my literate toons.... few things would please me as much in game, in fact... but 'm not holding my breath, sadly.

    Re: Player written Books

    This would be AWESOME. My characters would love to sit at the shores of Evendim, on Weathertop or the Hall of Fire and write. Although I don't think this will be a likely addition to the game at this point, I would like to have this feature. Even just having a 'personal note' system in place would be nice (it'd could a small notebook only you could access), but what I'd really love would be the ability to create books as items. You could then trade that book to other people, allowing them to read it.

    I would like to see books that we could write in as well.

    Bilbo wrote his own book so the lore covers it. If thats important at this point.

    This can be accomplished with the Lotropad plugin available at;
    http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...-Lotropad.html

    Gives you note taking space that is persistent across all characters on an account.
