Well, sometimes you have no mobs next to you, or some of them are dazed, or will be dazed.
In a raid is a pain, you hit a mob with WoF and this mob can't be CCed in the next 20 sec, or you use WoC and your AoE wake up some dazed mob.
I'm happy with most of the changes, some are good and others are meh, but this mechanic is a pain. I was more confortable switching my stones.
With 2 yellow traits, Chilling Rhetoric becomes usable at any attunement, so you don't have to worry about unwanted AoE Splash. 5B2Y might be a better fit in healing situations where you might want to maximize your crowd-control skills. If no mobs are near by, get closer to the action then step back to safety. With target forwarding you can target your tank or DPS-assist, and attack their target through them. There's always a way to make the situation work for you. Personally, I never *just* heal, I like to throw some Writs of Cold to slow down attackers DPS, making healing easier anyway.
I'm happier now that I don't have to be expected to carry 3 kinds of rune stones for healing and very situational buffs/debuffs. I can focus on 1 set of LIs for Heals, one set for DPS/Solo, and that leaves 2 free slots I can cycle LIs through. My quick slot bars also have more free slots for other things.
I can't wait to try your tips, and kiting has been a big part of my bag of tricks to do, but I was unaware of the healing stone properties with regards of drawing aggroe to itself and sparing me! Wow, I can't wait to try that.
I will confess, I don't kite as much as I have in other games, because while in the process of kiting I tend to run into the aggroe range of mobs that may be hidden to me and then my problems just gets out of hand.
Love the new changes, Just would like to see a hot fix for the "fall to our wrath" tooltip, as it has jumbled the effects... not sure which is which but Fire doesn't show the "+5% Damage", lightning doesn't show the "+5% crit chance (or whatever the number is...)" etc.
I'd like to see a change in the effects needed to be stacked up to 5x on the RK so I don't need to hover the mouse over them each time to see how many stacks there are present actually. I notice there is a change in the symbol from 4 to 5 stacks but it's just a pixel or two so I can't really tell in the heat of the battle if anything has changed.

I agree it would be much better if the changes were more visible, but there is a good workaround if you use Buffbars. Make an Effect Window and add only the Master of XX buffs and the lightning one, place that effect window somewhere convenient, and you'll be able to tell easily.
I got the rune keeper a while back, only coming to find out, that he cant even do a solo skirmish, hese stuck to light armor, and he can only have one runestone, i believe these updates destroyed the runekeeper and made him weak.
Took a break from LOTRO and have been playing another game. Logged into my RK the other night and discovered a few of his skills had disappeared. Peeps in my Guild told me about a total RK overhaul and that I should check out the Dev Diary. They weren't kidding. lol
Overall, I like the changes that went through. Looks like I will be scrapping Fire as my mainstay and adopting Lightning again. In fact, I'm a bit skeptical about Fire now, even in Raids. Taking away the big burst that we had from RoI could be a real setback for the line. Will try it out in game.
We look to be a Healing powerhouse though. Love the added utility stuff. Healing looks to be much more fun and less mind-numbing. Will definitely give it a whirl. Glad to see that Frost made a bit of a comeback and that it's utility will be available to Healing as well. I was always burning MoW for the debuffs before, but now that isn't necessary.
The changes to the class are pretty extensive and deep. I don't think I will have to relearn rotations as much as skill and trait synergies. Will definitely be doing a massive keybind makeover though. Didn't expect for so much to change, but am more than happy to give it a whirl.
