Re: So did you fix the spider pet following burgs after stealth/hips?
hmm if you have problems with the spider pet then might I suggest you kill the spider? problem solved
On a serious note. lm pets do that to wargs too, but still I'd never call disappear useless. It's a chance to get back into a fight and change the odds in your favor if used right. If you use hips and stand about waiting as a warg you'd either get a load of tracks or a lm pet, sometimes both. Either use it for an extra stealth attack or use it and hurry away (and no, I don't usually have sprint up on my warg. I use it to counter slows or catch horses. It is possible to hurry without a sprint)
Of course the problem should be fixed for both sides, but you really overestimate the problem a lot if you call hips useless because of it.
(try reporting spiders who continually do this as it might be an exploit. I do the same with lms I see do that. I don't know if gms act on it, but I haven't had a lm pull that trick on me for a while)
However don't report a spider who only sends her pet after you once. Even I had my spider's pet follow a burg once (I was wondering where it was going and why, until it popped out the burg)

Re: So did you fix the spider pet following burgs after stealth/hips?
It's a pain to cough up riddle when spiders do it with a craid bearing down on you, which the spiders and everyone else trying to dot you up and get you out of stealth are doing to make sure you can't get away. Sometimes LOS, clicking on +speed jewelry and simpy breaking stealth and mounting up and riding off works to deal with the spider issue until Turbine fixes it 5 years from now.
