Hi everybody, I've recently returned to playing my cappy after a year or so and noticed a possible bug when I hit level 50 today. I have a new class trait deed at level 50 for Adherent of Elendil, yet my cappy has had it equipped for quite some time...at least 5 levels. I wondering if anybody knows about this...I haven't had luck finding information on this anywhere. Here's a pic I took this morning of the problem:
I just want to know if this is going to affect either future class traits or if I was supposed to have learned a different class trait at a lower level instead.

That's funny. Nathrien, can you find the trait on under Completed deeds?
That's the strange thing...I don't have it in my completed deeds either. That's the first place I looked this morning. Even if I swap out traits at the bard, Adherent is still available on the list.
One kinsman got back to me an hour ago. He said that particular class trait was changed to the Lead the Charge line some time ago. I think that may be the answer...it was attached to the Leader of Men line prior to RoI.
And that archer deed? And you're right about the archer. I don't know why I have that deed when I can't even summon one until level 56. So that in itself is another topic.

Because you have to complete the previous herald deeds first, and those can be done before 50 even.

I tell them I'm the only one / There was a war, but I must have won
My theory right now is they updated the skills with RoI and moved the elendil trait from yellow to red.
As part of this I think they did a manual update on characters to grant the skill to anyone who had progress on it. There was a post from an RP'er who was very upset that he had the trait granted to him when he specifically tried not to earn it.
I'm not sure of the mechanics... They may have turned the old accuracy skill (reduced miss chance) into adherant of elendil, and i'm not sure what happened to the yellow line version of it.
So it's possible you had earned the accuracy trait in the past and it got updated to AoE. Or they just gave you the AoE trait during the update.
I mean you could /bug it but it's a grey area... just a side-effect of the RoI update that won't affect any new captains, just ones that already existed.
and like dude above said, if they let you earn the TP twice, you get the benefit of having stopped play at the right point to take advantage of the bug.

If the OP created and played mostly to 50 a Long Time Ago (TM), you probably did have the deed finished and trait.
It's a case of an old deed, Mines of Moria changes, and then another change when they updated the trait lines. The OP is caught in a time warp. Most of us that were playing through it all had our characters update in stages. Newer folks never had anything different.
I'd suggest sending in a bug report. You may get a GM to fix it for you and remove the new deed. Main reason I'd do it is because is *is* a bug, and one doesn't know what that bug will do when you complete the new deed. Probably best to deal with it now.
