Just went to read the last batch of release notes, TONS of items that we the customers have been unhappy about for awhile being addressed.
BUT the single biggest item Im happy to see..
Marks, Medallions and Seals will be account bound!!!!! YAY!!!! I dont know if someone else already posted this here, but if u6 ONLY had this one item on update I would be thrilled.
I cant TELL you how much Ive begged for this. As someone with multiple alts, this is the biggest darn news I couldve recieved. I can now pool my rewards! I cant tell you how much freedom this gives me to play the game now. It also helps the community at large. It frees healers back into the game with people with multiple alts, with the new RK heal adjustments coming, Im super KEEN to get back into that side of the game. I might bring my rk through shores first!
There is so much good items into this release, but this is right near the top of them all.
Of course there is still some odd news(finally fixing barter wallet, but then make us pay for it, Im at least hoping the fix goes from 995 turbine points to like 395 or something, seems more bearable to me), slight nerfs in the release notes as well, but overall, Lotro will be making a significant portion of its player base very happy on this release.
From all reports u6 appears to be just awesome, go to bullroarer and check out the posts.
If this one change goes live, wish I could give +rep to turbine =).
Glad you are happy with the current set of patch notes. Before someone else mentions it though... you might want to post a link to said patch notes. Just so others who are too lazy to look them up can see what you're raving about, he he.
But I agree, having medallions and seals bind to account is a nice touch, as much as having the former endgame currencies (Medallions of the Northmen, Medallions of Dol-Guldur, etc.)

My brother is cancelling his account, he was playing a Warden, it's gone now full of nerf.
Wargs and Spiders are changing too? My favorites are gone.
Warden's aren't getting 'nerfs'. Orion has plenty of changes in store to make Warden's better then their current state. They aren't nerfs though. Hop on over to BR and give them a shot. Or tell him to rather. He will be surprised by the changes.
I cannot speak for Wargs and Spiders as I do not partake in PVMP but from what I have read they are supposed to be good changes... so I do not know what to say there.

You ought to tell your brother to actually go over and try a lot of those changes. They are NOT nerfs. The healing buffs are finally being fixed onto level, and many other changes that absolutely enhance the warden. There are reasons that wardens on Bullroarer are solo'ing 125k morale Elite Masters. That's not a nerf.
And wargs and spiders have been improved as well, by all accounts of those actually trying them.

I am pretty indiferent about this, I was fine with each character having his own pool of Marks.
Re-ni-AN-nen - strayed (ppt. of renia- 'to stray')
Aeled Reniannen, Defender of Middle-earth ~ Nendhiniel, Forge-Warden : Captain and Wardenette from [EN-RP] Laurelin
Fluffrash, Blade of Barashish ~ Nathraen, Conqueror of Towers : Warg Puppy and Spider Tailor from the darker side thereof
Faradwen, Swift-Arrow : Huntress from [EN-RE] Landroval
As if in answer there came from far away another note. Horns, horns, horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the North wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last.

Putting together final versions now. You can count most of those chickens.

This helps those with the alot of alts the most, if you have only one or two on one server at end game, wont make much diffrence to you. But there is a # of us with 3+ or more , this does help us. Please refrain about busting others props! We may need them as crutches =P

I have five alts that do skirmishes, I'm just not sure they deserve all the Marks my Captain has earned

I missed that part in the notes. My Warden has a ton of Marks on him it seems. It will be nice to convert them to Medallions and use them for my Hunter.

Views by wardens on the Bullroarer and warden boards are generally positive, but somewhat mixed on a couple aspects of the Warden 2.0 changes.
First, there does appear to be a modest nerf in our aggro skills, which troubles many because that could mean we have to spam more of them, leaving less time for self-heals and self-buffs (the latter two we need to keep up to compensate for running around in medium armour). If the aggro nerfs are real they would be perplexing, as this is the last thing we need in a revision oriented around unbreaking the class for tough end-game group content.
The other question many wardens have is whether the changes really bring us to parity with guards on tanking tough raids. For a variety of reasons Orion was not able to do a simple fix to our mitigations. Instead, he has woven together a complex web of smaller changes with the purpose of adding up to the same thing. The problem might be (and I stress might, as I have not done my own testing on BR) is that the approach taken could be cludgy in its scaling. That is, one can be a ghod at soloing an elite master, but still sub-par in a T2 12-man raid. But the jury is still out on that as well.
There is no question, however, that the warden will emerge from Update 6 as a much improved class from the (unintended) shambles it was left in post-Isengard. On top of that, who knows how the new melee and ranged dps roles will come out? Not me, and I'm really not concerned about it because all most wardens really want is the potential to be a great tank once again.

The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.
Depends if you believe Massively's stories all the time or not. Sometimes they're dead on... other times they can be off by a bit so hard to say. I am sure we'll hear something from the devs by the end of this week. They stated they want to get it out this Spring... and with it being Spring Break and all you'd think that they would release it in the next week or so.
EDIT: Just so we are clear... the article doesn't actually say it will be released on Monday... it says "if all goes well it will be uploaded on Monday." If can go along way, he he.
So if I'm reading the patch notes correctly, we *don't* have to pay to unlock the barter wallet, and skirmish soldiers are purchased for an hour, either through marks or TPs? If that's right, nice for the barter wallet & I didn't need my soldier out, anyway.
known issue: npcs in evendim have decided they are no longer interested in constantly answering questions and offering services and quests to players. Instead of interacting with you they will simply stare at you with a slight look of displeasure on their faces until you go away. (this is fixed in a newer build, we reminded them they are under contract.)
rofl lmao lol!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
Civ II rules after all these years......

In the next one this is at the bottom...
Quests
(BULLROARER ONLY) Explained to Evendim NPCs that ignoring players was bad and must stop. They've agreed to once again bestow quests and do other NPC appropriate stuff.
I have to agree. Having a brand new region alone or having the changes from patch notes implemented alone would make this update equally awesome. Together they're making it something much more.
I'll defend Massively's honor here. Update 6 will be live on Monday.
I'm really annoyed about the way we have to get information from 3rd parties. Are you so embarrassed by your product Turbine that you're scared to announce it? I can understand that you don't want to give out dates until you're sure, but in this business you're never going to be 100% sure until you've actually done it. I think everyone here would appreciate some sort of date tagged onto your news announcements. You must have known when you first announced Update 6 approximately when it was going to be installed? Why not tell your paying customers? If the date has to be shifted then fine, at least you're keeping us informed.

I have to admit I was surprised at this as well. After a big post here telling us Players that Turbine is going to do a better job communicating with us they choose to confirm a 3rd party article about the Update 6 Release Date in a thread that really has nothing to do with the Release Date. As far as I can see they still haven't made an Official post naming the Release Date of Update 6.

Sometimes third parties jump the gun and release information before the agreed upon date. I suspect that is what happened here.
As for Turbine giving a date then changing it, that results in a LOT of bad press/bad feelings. It is much better to not give a date until it is set in stone.
