    Re: Phoenix Raiding Kin

Meh, more bitter haters who couldn't make the cut in Phoenix; desperate to tarnish my reputation because they were too fail to hang with the best.

To the tank who applied, I strongly encourage you to look into Endeavor, as they are more around your skill level. Phoenix is a bit too high-tier for ya bud, but I'm sure Endeavor or MA would love to pick you up.

    Best of luck!

As of right now, I am in need of the following:

    1 MNS
    1 LM

Any other applications will be considered and more than likely denied.
Please feel free to apply here on the forums, and I will get with you.

    Thanks!

Good, I'm glad you let them know that it's such a wonderful experience. No other kinship in the game has such an exciting and fun atmosphere in raids as Phoenix does. While we manage to down content, we aren't being hateful towards one another, or being self-centered as many of you tend to believe. It amazes me how many problems people have with Phoenix, but it doesn't matter one bit to us what your opinions may be. The only opinions that matter are that of Phoenix members. I hope you also let them know that they will never laugh any harder in their life, than they will in a raid with us.

Really? How does it amaze you that Phoenix has such a terrible rep when your leader goes around posting disrespectful things about other kins and people, such as:

Insulting the skill of other players, even if they deserve it (which in Bill's case, you just look dumb) is never a good sign of what a kin is about. If your aim from these posts was to get a rise from people, then I congratulate you, you got it. Realize though that while these posts may entertain you, your rep with the community is diminishing with everything you say. I had barely even heard about you guys until yesterday, but now I'm glad that I know what you guys are about.

If the raid were mathematically impossible, Turbine would have updated it; so you can scratch that statement. I didn't 'dismiss' Shadow, Phoenix as a whole voted against running Shadow for the reason I listed.

What I find surprising is people think I'm a dictator in both kin operations and leadership, when I'm actually quite democratic. How the raid functions during raid times, however, is truly my way.

Phoenix is a family, a unit, and we do as we will as a unit; currently, I speak for the unit. Most just don't find the forums worth posting on, nor want to get involved in something that really means nothing. I defend my own, and myself, in this situation, because, as I said, cause and effect.

    We posted a recruitment thread.
    People trolled it.
    I responded.

It isn't about my ego, or me, or my playstyle, it's about Phoenix.

Thank you for wishing us luck, we will get it whenever we get it.

Pfft...content proven to be mathematically impossible. Yes, they may be patching it, but allowing it to exist for so long in itself indicates they expected players to be able to conquer it. They even permitted the acquisition of new gear with Update 6, but obviously, everyone has failed. I have no doubt that F/F can be completed as the raid is now after analyzing the mechanics and executing a strategy properly. Sure, it's extremely difficult, but that's what the community asked for. To consider the next patch update a correction to flaws, in my own opinion, is a cop out. The next patch is a nerf. When you can accept that it's a nerf, yet continue to attempt the content in its full glory, you are exemplifying a mentality that yearns for challenges, however difficult they may be. These are the players we want in Phoenix. I will say that I have not seen Saru T2 CM, but my guess is that it also can be done with proper execution.

We've dealt with many types, the most difficult being the argumentative. As Star has explained, the explosion of this forum post was the result of trolls; he responded accordingly, which is explained in his post above. The length and wording of his post, which explains piece by piece the issues, took the thread to a level much higher than that of blatant trolling. Alekirious' response simply indicates he can not follow suit. I've been with Phoenix for quite a while, and I've seen the types of individuals who pass thorough its doors and discover they cannot function with our group, usually as a result of their own inability to follow the rules Star stated or simply because they cannot give their argumentative comments a rest for a moment. Lillibell knows what I'm referring to. These individuals then with venom on their lips come to troll us. If this is your purpose, be my guest, and make a fool of yourself as our buddy Phil has done.

It seems that many of you are under the impression that Phoenix is ruled with a dictatorship...hardly at all. Star's comment of ruling with democracy stands true. We listen to him in raids with the strat we have established, and if the strategy doesn't work, we adjust. We're a team, and as a team we analyze content and down it together. I don't believe you can call it dictatorship when said "dictator" is willing to listen and adjust to other players. We each bring something different to the table; he simply organizes our abilities and puts them to use. It's a learning experience for some, and for others its just second-nature and they don't need that many adjustments. Some players, however, refuse to adjust and as a result find themselves in heated arguments in the middle of raids. My point in saying all this? As a leader, if you can prove to Star something can be done, its accepted with no arguments. Show him the numbers, show him the parse, show him the completion time, and he won't reject it. Blatantly defy his build request when he's attempting to put together a comprehensive strat, without proof of its ability to succeed, and then complain about his response to such opposition? Really? Is it that big of a surprise that someone in a leadership position might set you aside or ask you to drop raid in such a circumstance? Yet these are the people who troll us. These are the people who spew venom from their mouths. I will say this: I've had more fun playing with Phoenix than I have of any other group in any other game I've played. To listen to the words of the bitterly rejected would be a shame. I assure you, should you check out Phoenix and comply with the rules stated above and an ability to listen, you'll laugh more than you've ever laughed in the game. I truly, wholeheartedly mean that. You can choose to listen to the hate, but it's your loss.

Do me a favor real quick! Grab a sheet of paper and write out your character's name, and then grab a dictionary. Look up the word, "Chotch." Notice the correlation. Thanks!

    Re: Phoenix Raiding Kin

Lets see......I have been with Phoenix for just under 3months? hmmm....another 20 days till I hit that 3 month mark. Now then to the statement of this kinship being a dictatorship is ########. I don't know how many times we have gone into OT and have given our opinion on a pull or a raid boss and he takes it into consideration then tweaks the strat to that suggestion. For T2 OT in Lightning and Acid I have given my views to pulls and bosses and we try it. If it works we joke around saying "plus leet to Blain" if it fails we joke around again "minus leet to Blain" and am I forgetting how at the moment each first age has been voted on to who it is given to? Gawd what a brutal dictator making us vote who to give it to its SOO.....aweful.

The 2 months that I have been here in Phoenix I have found no complaints to being here. Is there anything I don't enjoy? yea I don't get to play my champion as much as I would like to but then again my RK is what is needed at the moment until we can get more healers in the kin and that was the original purpose of this post. Star's "my way or the highway" attitude doesn't bother me one bit given IT WORKS!!

That is all I have to say about everything that has been posted.

Honestly, come on everyone. We are trying to recruit. I get it, Phoenix isn't your favorite set of people. I didn't know they were so hated when I joined. Apparently it's not as widespread of an opinion as some like to believe. There's no reason to post here though if you don't want to get in Phoenix. Go hate on us in GLFF, try killing us in the moors if you see us and laugh, whatever makes you feel better. I certainly don't mind.

There's no reason to come in here and troll. It's a waste of time for all of us and it makes you all seem childish and petty. It's a recruiting thread, not a "Opinions on this kin" thread. He wouldn't have to defend us if you hadn't come in here. You would do the same if someone came at any of your kin members. Don't keep adding fuel to a fire you started. It can grow to a point you didn't expect.

To any potential recruits, please do not hesitate to tell me in game when I'm online. I'd be happy to discuss Phoenix and how we work. As one of the newer members, I think I can give you some information that may help you decide if we fit with you or not.

I was taught to always respect my elders, even on the Internet. The Internet, where they may feel that they can sit behind their computer screens and bash people on things that have absolutely NOTHING to do with LOTRO, raiding, or a person's leadership style. The beauty of the Internet.

I do question why you bother posting in here though. Does it make you feel better, bashing the person who you didn't get along with on an online game? Does it make you feel accomplished? Personally, I don't see the point. I'm in this thread to encourage people who want to raid to try us out and see if we all fit together. Is your time not better spent being productive in game and with your kin?

    Re: Phoenix Raiding Kin

Wait, wait, wait just one minute, I bring very important news from the High Chieftan himself that Gnex is obligated to hear from:

Gal 6:7 (Phi) Don't be under any illusion: you can not make a fool of God! A man's harvest in life will depend entirely on what he sows.

Oh Gnex, my Starlette, your blasphemous soul's conspiring has reached the ears of heaven and they are whispering for you to repent.

Rom 2:4 (LB) Don't you realize how patient he is being with you: Or don't you care? Can't you see that he has been waiting all this time without punishing you, to give you time to turn from your sin? His kindness is meant to lead you to repentance.

God has come to me, as I am an appointed messenger of God(unwillingly) and said, please Gangroth, please guide Gnex back to the path of the moors so he does not spew unfounded hatred onto Endeavor but instead help him convert his hatred to QQ about not having enough bleeds, hips, T&G to kill a humble warg.

I have accomplished my task. My brothers and I will await you in the moors and I hope that God provides mercy on your rancorous soul. Not really.

fin. please, by all means, continue your recruiting.
