Thread: The Dancers of Riddermark :-)

Greetings fellow Riddermarkers...

I just happened to be wandering thru Galtrev on Riddermark yesterday, when mirabule visu !

What did I see but a synchronised dance ensemble - five or six dancers, all dancing in time, with nice matching music. It was quite a wonderful event - not sure if it was planned, but I had a pleasant time watching. Actually I had a friendly invite to join, but I'm a dwarf with two left feet still and without that emote yet - perhaps after I've spent a quick century or two practicing then I'll be there one day...

It's obviously a little tricky to get the timing right, but with some time and patience we saw some really excellent ensemble dance - for much of it they had the entire group all in perfect time which each other, and the music too - it was great :-)

The best one seemed to be the "dwarve_dance2" - luckily not too many idiots spoiled it with forced emotes etc.

I was a bit slow with the screenshot, but I think I have most of the names - Music was provided by Karine the Warrior, and the dancers included Phoenixflight; Rillanel the Blameless; Whatabot, the Wanderer; Pandava Lightbringer; and Enless Lee. I neglected to get the name of another tall human man with an eye-patch - possibly Frith?

They danced in two lines - four (or three) tall ones behind, two short ones in front - it worked quiet well. Even the outfits mostly matched - generally black and formal; Enless the Hobbit lass had a nice mauve shawl, and Rillanel showed off her lovely purple formal dress with embroidery down the front and a matching hat with purple feather - wonderful.

It's moments like that which give Riddermark that something, that je ne sais quoi.
