Are the current top tier sets (before Update 6) still in the game?

I'm very much in love my with my Improved Threkkappi armour.

On the Champion set, I see Audacity. Anyone know what that is?

a stat to reduce damage. There is a dev diary on it. all new moors sets have it

I think I have seen them, available for Commendations (cheaper, iirc) and for trade with the level 65 pieces.

Oh my, some good looking cosmetics, I might need to play a freep.

yes, the old armorsets and items are still available vs Comms.

I did these up for the Cosmetics thread in General, but since we're on the topic, I'll toss em in here (they're a little larger and clearer than the ones above). The pink/salmon/lightish-red portions are the dyeable areas.

Dear God... hunters got screwed again..... please make our audacity the same as creeps. Do not tie them to stupidly designed armour sets. What brilliant hunter thought theses up on the dev side?
These may be the WORST PVMP sets EVER put out. I am not kidding when I say this. I spent how much time and gold getting the current set and now you will force me to switch over to this set with no turn in value for the set I am wearing.

This is what we were afraid of... some sets will function well for some classes others are a disaster. By linking audacity... which is now almost a must to our armour sets you have made it a luck draw for each class based on the usefullness of each new armour set. We sit out two books now without ANY updates whatsoever, even though they were hinted at by Zombie, but hey he has been busy doing EVERYTHING else but paying attention to a class he is responsible for.


Wake up devs..... this is a JOKE!

While I agree that they may not be the best looking sets of armor, in case you missed every freeps audacity level past the first point is tied into armor. it's not just hunters. That's how the system works. Nothing is forcing you to use the moors set, but now you do have a reason to want some of it.

Honestly, I don't think the suits are that bad. They are certainly an improvement overall compared to, say, the Draigoch set. They're about what I expected. The only thing that confuses me is on the Pretador set why having 5 equipped gives a penalty to incoming healing of 25% for 10s, unless that's being applied to the one hit by the merciful shot. It looks like it penalizes the hunter with that debuff if they use Merciful Shot, but I'm guessing (hoping) that I'm reading it wrong.

Were there any new jewelry, shields, etc added with U6?

No and the cloaks stats are still bad. The rank 15 cloak is barely better than the rank 5 one.

You fail to realize the purpous of these sets. By making new armour sets and pushing towards making them required in the moors (although they're not quite there yet) you are able to balance these new armour sets to model creeps. Therefore Turbine will be able to not nerf freeps in PvE, but make them less powerful (mostly damage wise) in PvP. On my server there are hunters that light you up in seconds. This is a needed change.

"Applies a 25% Movement Reduction and 10% attack duration increase to target when using Fierce Resolve, Resolution or Desolation"

10 targets spammable AOE slow ? I hope 'target' is not really 'targets'.

You are indeed reading it wrong. MS will apply the inc healing debuff to your target.

The only place that cosmetics are blocked... Why does the moors gear allways look sooo horrible lol

Hoping they add audacity to some of the existing pvp gear. Some of the class set bonuses really suck

omg, the burglar set looks awful... the helm style is a joke, and the color is totally disgusting... please, please, please, change it until it goes live...

Cosmetics are awful, stats are worse, set bonuses are very hit or miss being great for some classes and utterly worthless for others. Great job, itemization team!

Bonuses are so utterly useless the best option here looks like 2 of each set. Three x the two-set bonus looks bordering on worthwhile.

Guardian PvP set bonus (OP set) is crazy. Removing the positional aspect of stagger basically means any creep fighting a guard will have a perma 25% attack duration increase. Along with an extra set of parry responses from BA guards are going to be a hell of a lot stronger in small group fights.

I dont pvp much and right now im on stelth level 12 on my burg, when i look at the first burg set i could top my stealth level on 14 :')

I wonder if they thought about it as the hele 4 piece bonus still give 3 stealth level. Bring in legs and shoulders fro the new set and you have 7 stealth level from armour alone if you have a cloak with 2. Toss in a pocket a trait ang legacy and youre on 14

Pretty sure the pink sets are turbines idea of a joke. They 'made' creeps farm npcs for many many hours to get the sigils for their cosmetics, now freeps need to go around looking like dandies.

Very strong Greek/North African vibe on that armor. Did Harad switch sides and invade the ettenmoors to fight with the free people?

Those hunters depend highly on crits... if we don't dev or crit we are as good as dead. The few that can do this have first agers, something not everyone will have no matter how much they increase the drop rate. If you aren't constantly raiding you will not have access to them, plain and simple. Hunters had armour and mits nerfed along with the wardens. Wardens are being reworked because of it. Now with hunters strictly dps babies, no healing, no armour, very little morale, and our pottable CC (also reduced by audacity), so by decreasing the agi, morale and ICPR on the new sets and adding in the lowering of dps by audaicty hunters are going to suffer the most. Did you even see the bonuses they are proposing... what hunter would use these? Not one will have any significance in PVMP... lowering the power cost of HS, which still has the target, long induction and will now have its damage lowered quite a bit by audacity and that is the dev's great idea of helping the hunter.

The set plus audacity will cripple hunters as we will not be seeing significant changes in our armour, morale or healing. Sorry let me rephrase that we will see a lowering of morale through the new set, and no change in armour or healing. Fights now that need to be decided in the first couple of seconds for a hunter will be lengthened and will put us at a terrible disadvantage when our dps has been curtailed and we cannot benefit from extra morale or healing, while wearing the same broken armour. Creep side complained and had their mits returned, yet hunters will not see anything replaced. Hell, our dev has yet to make ONE post on our forums and no changes have been made to this class for TWO books now. I like being an underdog, but this will be plain crazy once the update hits.

Champ DPS set is laughter ... VS delulagos set its - 298 might and -1338 phy mastery = -4118 phy mast ... i mean really ?? lol ... nice work devs lol ... thats 20+ % of our offence ..

On the other hand, tanking set, boots and pauldrons gives +1400phys miti and massive 2800 tact miti wich will help a lot in isen ...

I doubt many will be running with the full sets; mostly going for the 3-set bonus and 3 from either draig or orthanc. The Burg Surprise Strike Devastate Bonus is simply insane. It stacks if you spam it but SS does have a 10 second cooldown. Some of the pieces in the end will give you smaller bonuses to main stats than raid sets like the pvp's that give you 60 of one, 60 of another and then some audacity and crit or something. So for raw power, running the 3 or 4 best PVMP pieces combo'd with 2 raid pieces would be best. I do want to hear opinions on this so feel free to tear me up on this issue :3 Also, with creeps being able to just literally level Audacity, the new freep sets may just be necessary in order not to die in the moors. I see a U6.1 in the near future but overall I'm very impressed. And all armour (every single set ever) should be dye-able. Just sayin'...

And almost all of the sets look absolutely hilarious in a very disappointing way. Pink should not be the new Orthanc Black

He probably meant that many people will be using 4+2 builds that are imho more efficient than simply 6 pieces of one set.

Agree, seriously, Turbine should employ new armor designers, maybe 1/10 of the armors have some decent look, others are terrible, when i first saw Helegond sets i wasnt sure if its joke, or someone really thinks its cool to look like parrot, at least we have cosmetic slots, but still. Heck they dont even need to come with totaly new ideas, there are so many variations of armor in history, they just need to visit some museums, or read some books. One more thing for armor designers: less is sometimes better (in term of complexity of design).
