Thread: Vilya's Friends of Frodo host Festival of the Wild Boar

We welcome you all to share in our kin parade and party on the eve of March 3, 2012, starting at 9 EST at the West gate of Breetown.

Many times throught the Year, Friends of Frodo (FoF) members take to the fields of Middle Earth and to hunt this elusive animal in mass. We call these days Pork-chopper days.

But Once a year, every year on the 1st Saturday of March we celebrate the greatness of this animal.

'Pork Choppers' of all Levels, Classes, and Races from the FoF kinship spend time making special pork related foods and then at 9 pm EST Meet in Bree proudly sporting their Pork Chopper Title and hand out food to the hungry, needy and anyone else who wants some as they parade through the streets in honour of this great Beast!

Come celebrate with us as we end up partying at the Boar Fountain, setting off fireworks, playing music, dancing, handing out food until our bags run dry, and just having a great time!

THIS IS OUR KIN'S MOST LOVED EVENT AND IS WELL PARTICIPATED IN EVERY YEAR! LETS KEEP THE TRADITION ALIVE!

We have events on Vilya! Just not as often as some more RP-oriented servers. The Rekka memorial for example.

I hope to be able to make this, and I will be wearing the Pork-chopper title proudly!

Vilya is an active server if you know where to look I suppose. Our kinship has had numerous regular events over the last few years, which we tend to announce 'live' in Regional chat mostly. This looks like fun, but I won't be able to make it due to the timezone. It'll be 2am here in the UK, which means I'll be asleep! D:

Nonetheless, enjoy yourselves and eat as much pork as you can!
