Then make it a Store only option to help cover the costs maybe ?
What fraction of the characters are dwarves? What fraction of those do the players wish were Wardens? What would the cost have to be in order to cover developing what is, in essence, and entirely new class? Will Turbine make a profit on this if they do it?
From my point of view Dwarfs dont fit in the "Wardens lore".The Warden patrols the borders of civilized lands, preventing the encroachment of fell creatures from the Wild and from what Tolkien has write in his books is that Dwarfs of Moria have closed the doors to everyone after Sauron dominance over Eriador. After Dwarfs of Moria left and went to Iron Hills and Erebor were close to themselves and they had no relations to outsiders.
whats to stop a dwarf from patrolling perimeters to check every thing is allright and doors are still locked, just makes it, imo., more obvious to have dwarf wardens
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think classes should be even more restricted according to race.
Both for purposes of matching the lore and to make the choices players make more meaningful, I'd like to see for example no hobbit guardians (I know it's supposedly based on Sam but that's preposterous and we all know it - it's an armored tanking class that needs to be perceived as the principle threat by enemies). I think only Elves and Men should be able to be Wardens. And so on. Each class should be playable only by one or two races.
However, I also think each race's inherent bonuses/boguses should be more substantial and more applicable to those classes it can choose.
It's just my preference. Rather than an 'anything goes' approach to race and class selection, I prefer one that commits to natural inclinations based on the qualities particular to the race/class.
Having said that, I have a hobbit warden and a hobbit guardian. I have them because I find them comical. It makes no sense, so it's 'wacky fun'. But I'd be more gratified to see a more logical approach.
