Point being... you "Called it Out" period... nough said.

I'll 1v1 u anytime however I think with the audacity and self-healz for both parties it will be 30 min of who can manage their power pool better and part ways at the end like the 1v1 I had with Kalioth last night.

    Re: Call It Out

Any type of zerg, either on creep or freep side, gets to be old... even for the people zerging sometimes. I know I've been zerged and have zerged creeps/freeps and it's not very gratifying; unless if it's just a creep/freep i dislike and want to see die as many times as possible. Other then that, if we all began to change the complexity of actually challenging each other to our full capabilities I think we would all enjoy the moors a little more.

It would be cool if we saw more open field fights with NO npcs around at all to hide behind. If we could get some dedicated healers out on both sides for the longer and larger fights out to the moors, the fights themselves, at least for me, become some of the most intense and fun moments while playing out in the moors.

So I challenge this server to have more open field fights again. If you see 5 freeps and 10 creeps or vice versa the opposing side should sit out some of the creeps/freeps. Go ahead make it a 3v3, 5v5, 10v10 or whatever the numbers are, because I, for one, would gladly take part in these types of fights no matter the outcome and to the death.

setting rules in the moors just doesn't work. Who will govern? who will discipline? Tell that to LPC. Where are you? Your retired so quickly!!

I know it's convoluted but you think there would be enough people on the server, with integrity, to try it out.

    Re: Call It Out

Perhaps give it abit more time, creeps are still getting used to not dying in 5 hits and continue to play the numbers game cause most of us think we have to.

A suggestion of fair 5 vs 5's is good though, organizing it is the hard part.

w/e We choose how we fight and turbine just gives us a place to do it. Unless they offer a organized skirmish setting the moors will be open gank fest.

From what I personally have read on the forums, gank fest is one of the reasons most people still play in the moors.

You would probably have more fun in a 5 vs 5 in a different mmo sadly.

what i've learned over the years that creeps have gained the knowledge to use ooc much more effectively than freeps. Freeps were always more notalkinooconlyinraidcreepshav etwoboxers type long implemented by you know who. I've also noticed that creeps rage more when called out rather than freeps, since they're used to it...Take it the way it is) is Toq still farming?

Yes, but in those days I rode into combat in mischief mode, popped my 75% evade and killed creeps by the handful. To mirror this bravado, I would have to resubscribe and find a few wargs to sharpen my blade on, and you would have to come out of NPCs without relying on your wizard's heal.

.......- as for using my skills I shall continue. Sorry. Same as you and same as everyone. I just wanted to light up the mood a bit with my not so probably brilliant choice of words.

    edit:
I would love to get out but also one of the skills allows me to detect stealth...I tend to see the special 5-6 wargs lurking in the ruins/ec woods and so on. Now that would be a fair fight

    Re: Call It Out

I've been around past few days. Dividing my time between LoTRO and trying to finish 100% of Skyrim. Mostly on my cappy as it has a much less steep "re"learning curve. For example, I chased a warg around in circle for a good 5 minutes behind the plains outpost before i remembered I could riddle him. ><

Though I have found most of the wargs playing now are terribad. Even worse than they used to be. Six wargs attack me and I get away without a single track? What happened to butta's spam tracks? Though it did take him, what, 4 years to figure out how to do that, so maybe I'm expecting too much.

SWToR is a flop, regardless of what anyone else tells you. I cancelled my sub about a week ago and got an email saying they are adding 30 days to my sub for free because I am a "High level and valued, active player."

There's just nothing to do, got War-Hero on my guard, literally facerolled through endgame PvE with the exception of a couple of buggy bosses. Haven't logged in since.

Gonna check out Tera, different combat system for an MMO, very unforgiving to clickers.

If it was around for 2 years and this is what it was I'd say it was a flop. Right now I'd say it's having a very slow start compared to the expectations people had for it, but I think I'm gonna give it a few more months then decide whether or not it's worth playing still.

Most people (the ToR community) must have the shortest of attention spans.

Let me use 1 word to compare it to: Mirkwood. How long was it that BG was considered end-game content? How many people didn't quit because of that? (Save Legends) There was a wierd bug after 1.2 of traders not really being where they're supposed to be and such, how long would it have taken turbine to fix it? It may seem that Bioware doesn't know what they're doing, and that may be partially true, but they had the servers down within hours to fix the issue. It's a brand new mmo still and I'm gonna give it at least another 3 months. If they don't have more stuff by then, then it will probably be on the road to being a flop.

Fair enough, especially considering how it's their first MMO.

But a flop, at least imo, connotes something that was just released and didn't do well. If it was out for 2 years and was like this, I would say it just fails, not it flopped. I think it flopped, but they may be able to fix it. Though, I think the actual definition has more to do with how much money was invested vs how much they got back.

Did you do the end game? We got a late start, didn't have enough people get to cap early, so first thing we did was KP. We started on HM. Cleared the whole thing in two weeks, raiding only two nights a week. The first boss took us the longest with his buggy movement.

Went into EV, breezed through the first four bosses in one night. Soa, is still buggy which is the only thing that makes that fight hard.

And nightmare mode is a joke, it's maybe 5% harder than hard mode.

It sounds like you're describing my guild and me's success with the raids too. The only difference between you and me is I have a rank 67 Operative. Same raid experience except some of our raid team has been a little flakey so we've avoided EV for the most part. Done the whole thing except Soa though.

You're probably right about the flop thing. It was up very high and right now it's on its face. I predict they'll make the needed changes, though not fast enough to keep most modern day MMO gamers' attention.

Yeah, I think the reason it feels like such a failure is that they hype was so big for it. Makes me worried about GW2. Though they at least have some real MMO experience under their belt.

Edit: Oh, and enrage timers on ALL bosses.....what an atificial way to make challenging content. That was one of my big problems with it.

I think if they can pull together something for Ilum they will hold onto a much larger portion of their player base. Say what you will, the moors was well done. I would love something like the moors in ToR.

I hit rank 50 on a Sith Sorc, and by the end of the week I cancelled my sub.

I won't give ToR anymore time to fix things. I understand Bioware has never made an MMO before, but it's not like its the first MMO ever.

WoW, Lotro, Fallen Earth, Conan, Ultima, and thats just a short list. I would have expected Bioware to learn something from the mistakes the games before ToR made.

It felt to me that they ignored those games and their mistakes and just figured the Star Wars license would take care of everything.

    Re: Call It Out

SWTOR is not even 6 months old. please tell me what LOTRO had at that time? as of now the game is still maturing and will continue to get better.. hopefully. that being said LOTRO is full of mediocrity. its sole purpose is to have you grind endlessly for 6 months for a very small incremental gain to stats, thats not entertaining.

by the way TOR had something like the moors it is illum. illum is not any worse than the ettenmoors presently. you can wander around the central area and do everything you can in the moors. and with slight differences classes are somewhat balanced. Although rewards now after 1.2 are screwed up.

and the raids on normal mode are easy. we have 7 manned EV and kraggas palace on normal. i know it not an achievement. but nightmare with 8 man is what it sounds like. nitemare with 16 is lol. maybe good group of people can breeze thru EV nightmre with 8 . but the new FP and OP are very difficult i hear.

how many went into EV (8 or 16)?

ps SWTOR may be a flop or may fail but if it does its partly the communities fault and partly the developers fault.

Not to flame, but I had the Lotro hype and pretty much it met my expectations :P it was the long term that bored me, and grinding endlessly that I couldn't really finish

    and....

Customers always right? Well, depends on how much effort their Devs put into it, imo. Never played it

Honestly levels 1-49 it's the best mmo i've ever seen. Level 50 has a slight lack of end game content, but I have a feeling that's gonna be changing in the next 6 months.

The new Op in "story mode" is basically hard mode, very challenging. The new WZ is EXTREMELY fun, very 1v1 friendly, very comeback friendly. I solo queued into Novarre and at one point we were down 49% to 8%, we ended up winning. They have an unannounced world event going on right now that promotes open world PvP. I have to agree with Zrod, 1-49, the most outstanding MMO I've ever played. Leveling is NOT the chore as it is in LOTRO. I've been running my Champ through the new content when its slow at work. I can't even begin to tell you how painstaking it is to quest in LOTRO after questing in ToR. Questing in LOTRO isn't hard, its face rolling easy, but soooooooo boring. Questing in ToR can actually be challenging. Neither Aion or Rift made me feel that way about LOTRO.

You may want to read this before you buy Tera.

    Re: Call It Out

It seems quite a few people have little to no experience when it comes to MMO launches. A case typically found in post Vanilla-WoWers expecting any and every new MMO launched to be of the same refined quality/calibre and have the same amount of content as WoW.

SWTOR's got a plenty of flaws, PvE was pretty cruisey, I advise you try the new FP/Ops. They're still playing with class/expertise balance but all in all it's a smoother launch than almost every game (who played LOTRO on launch it was garbage with no PvP and minimal PvE.)

The perfect MMO is always one launch away because it doesn't exist, play what you have fun playing.
