Finally coming to the game on a regular basis (realized I would get angry everytime I logged on to WoW so it was time to put it away) and I would love to find a Kinship to share experiences. Little background:

Wife and I are lifetime members.... dabbled in Beta for a bit. (though we are far from experienced LOTRO players)
We've played SWG and WoW for years (SWG not so much the past two)
I'm a big Tolkien fan
We are very open to anything game-wise. We do a bit of everything (raiding, crafting, hanging out)
We are both older gamers

Congratulations to the 10 kinship members and 2 alliance members on defeating the Blind One in DN on Sunday. We got him down to 10k morale on our first try before wiping and finished him off quickly on the second try. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we couldn't kill the Mistress. We'll have to leave that for another day.

After clearing DN, we'll be heading off to try our hand at BG. I see many repair bills in our future

If you're looking for casual mature kinship check our Kinship information at http://khazad.org on the left menu. We are not a hardcore raiding kinship but we do raid biweekly usually if enough members are on. You need to be lvl 15+ and please keep in mind that we are mature kinship if you decide to apply. Most of us are 30+.

You can also apply from the same place if a family type mature kinship is something you're looking for. Good luck!

Khazad Fundinul has added several new members in the last few days. We continue to keep our doors open for new members. You do not have to be at level cap to fit into our kinship.

We have people playing from many different time zones so you may see somebody on at all times of day. We have people from:

I am glad to see how KF is transitioning along with the game's progress and conversions. LOTRO is one of its kind. And no matter how many changes it went through it will always be one of its kind. With an announcement of F2P model for LOTRO while it may get confusing for some players we are still there for those interested in a family type casual kinship. Wow, 6 days went by... Wait, so what.

We are starting an "Alt Night" on Monday the 28th. We will be running as a kin group starting with new characters.

Also have a Turtle Raid on Friday Night.

Also doing some radiance instances Saturday night.


KF continues to be an active vibrant kinship.

We started an alt night tonight. We had 16 kin members created new characters to play together on Monday nights. We had 2 groups of 5 and a group of 6 running around the elf area doing quests together. It was a ton of fun!









In spite of a few internet issues (CURSE YOU bad weather in the south east) we did many quests. We did all of them in Celodim and Dullion. We stopped for the night at Gondamon where we will start up again next week.

We are having a blast with Alt. night. Our alts. are at level 20 on our 3rd edition of Alt. night. We all finished book one and are gearing up to do the Great Barrow Dungeon quests next Alt. Night on the 26th.

Alts are running around the world at lvl 20 right now .

Khazad Fundinul continues to add new members, and looks to help those members learn more about the game.

We have started discussions on how to better play the classes. How to do Fellowship Maneuvers and which are the best.

We also continue to do our Alt Nights every Monday night. While the numbers have dropped a bit we do have a good group of people now in their early 20s. We worked last night to help the people of Trestlebridge.

KF continues to go strong, and to recruit new players. We have several new kinnies that are newer to the game and are in the 20s. That is in addition to our old farts that are at level cap on many alts.

As a new member of KF, I am very glad to have joined the kin. The kin is very mature and helpful and has been a great help in getting me acquainted with the game and its details. I've seen several other new active members join us lately and more opportunity to run mid-game instances and group quests within the kin and without op characters is quickly developing.
