Discussion: Evade!

Hi everyone! I'm having difficulties increasing my evade. My block and parry are both at a place where I'm feeling "okay" with it. Could of course increase them, but seeing as that would make me lose more valuable stuff right now, that's not an option. My evade on the other hand is really really low and I would like to get some tips on how to increase it. As of now I only have 2 pieces of the ToO set, and the other armourpieces comes from the Draigoch set, and my jewellry kind of sucks as well, I guess. Is adding agility to my javelin a decent way to up the evade? Any suggestions is most appreciated!

You have self-buffs to increase your evade. Use them?

Well there are three ways to increase your evade (three viable ways at least). The first is relics on your Legendary Items. Personally I'm not a fan of this as the evade relic has icpr as it's second stat, whilst the block one has a good chunk of incoming healing.
Secondly you can increase your agility, again it's a little awkward due to the nature of our tanking gear (vitality then might as stats). Extra agility on LIs can work well in terms of build balance, or perhaps one or two agility heavy jewels.
The third is to trait and maintain your gambit buffs (dance of war duration, +300 to all bpe gambits trait etc).

I can understand the desire to get plenty of evade due to in thoery it being the best bpe stat. But it is probably the hardest to buff. I would say try and maintain an ok amount of agility whilst tanking (I think my tanky build only has about 400 and this seems to serve me fine, dps build I aim to keep it at 600 and rarely miss). But buff incoming healing, mitigation and block before looking for parry and evade. When fully bpe buffed during fights our avoidances become very respectable even without much attention spent on them via gear.

You'll find a lot of items have some extra stats on them anyway, a little block here, some parry there. This is true except for evade which is generally harder to find for a warden.

I do, but they aren't enough. I've seen wardens have about the same or higher block and parry than me, and still have MUCH higher evade - unbuffed.

Get a Dance of War legacy on your LI Jav + trait for 10 sec duration + use DoW with potency whenever it is up = mission accomplished you have decent evade numbers now.

What is yours at and what do you want it to be at? Mine are (approximately) 18%, 16% and 13%, with the 13% being evade. It has been hard for me to get mine to this level as is, so i would be curious to see how high you have yours/want yours to be.

Kinda proves that I need to work on some stuff :P My block is somewhere around 16, parry at 13 and evade (OMG) at 6...

Kjarkur -- I have read many of your post and you have stated a lot of your stats. Would you mind linking your toon so I can see what equipment you have or at least listing your toon name and server? Without buffs you are sky high compared to me and I would like to get an idea of what your using.

Along with that could you list some of your other information that you can't see on the character site...

1. Virtues
2. ICPR
3. Traited -- Class and legondary
4. Resistance
5. Legacies on Weapons and relics you are using

You seem to have a great build and would like to do a comparrison.

PS- your doing fine with your english... I can read what you write even if the spelling is a little off.

There is a ring that drop off the second boss in Foundry that has +evade. There is also an earring that drops in dargnakh 1st boss with +evade and parry. I might be mixing the location of these drops with one another.

There is also a nice pocket item that has + parry, evade and tactical. I forget where this drops though .

All of these items are purple and are easy to get. Most of them usually sell on AH for a few gold. With these items alone you'll easily get over 15% evade.
