1. Make sure you have 2:1 odds against the Creeps. If not, if it's even numbers, stand at TR (in stealth preferably) to diddle yourself while simultaneously boring the Creeps back to farming for lootboxes. Then, proceed to hunt down these solo Creeps at their favorite farming locations.
2. Make sure you have enough hunters and rune-keepers with you.
3. A heal bot would be nice, but not completely necessary. Remember: a minstrel in war-speech means yet another stun you can use to your advantage in the challenging fight to come.
4. Get a guard, champ, or minstrel to pull all the NPCs in the keep so that you can use all your cunning and skill to make the creeps suffer. Hit Button 1 for 1k hits, Hit Button 2 to stun, Hit Button 2 to win it all.
5. If you don't hit 2k renown/hour, you're doing something wrong.
Seriously... I just logged off Spacemonkey after 4 hunters, 3 Rks, 2 burgs, 2 minstrels, and 1 guard started doing the same old stuff I've seen every day this week.
I know that some of you have Creeps and could have switched to make the fight more fair, but you wouldn't get your precious renown then.
Let's be clear on this: when I play in the Moors, I expect to kill other players as easily as I kill AI/PvE enemies. You will all die quickly and I will not. When I am grouped with 3 of my pals and we gank a loner, or when I am with 3 others and we blow up 2, that is simply mastery of the PvP environment. When your group of 8 attacks our group of 5 and were turtle in TA or TR it is just because we want our 20 NPCs, oil, and arrows to give us an even chance versus your superior numbers. But when I am questing in HH or Grothum and you jump on me with a friend, it is bad form. You are clearly a person with no honor or the courage for a fair fight. if I attack you and you try to pull me into your NPCs, you are weak, even though I hit you first and did 1,000 damage before you saw me. Everything out here is about a fair fight with even numbers and no advatnage, right? After all, this is the Moors!

First of all, there seems to be a double standard here. Because, when you attack with friends, it is okay, but when we attack you with friends, it is bad form. Secondly, If it was a defiler, their chance of killing you is slim you can just outrun them because their slow is about non existant. Thirdly, Me, Skurvy, and Holdup Wednesday Night EST, pushed back 7 creeps with just 3 of us. We dont mind dying. As you pointed out, most of you freeps dont like dying. THAT My friend, is the difference; However, Sometimes creeps get tired of HOW we die. For Instance, when you get blown up in 2 seconds in a stuns multiple times, it gets rather frustrating. That was the case Spacemonkey pointed out. There was so many ranged classes, if you got stunned and they saw it you died. and they would zerg, wipe, and come back and farm some more. It is all about the mental aspect of it, Thularil.

See, here's your problem. The other players aren't AI/PvE enemies, they have brains (well, most of them), they know how to react and counter (well, some of them). This is a common misconception of new Freeps, Creeps AREN'T mindless NPC's. They AREN'T going to behave the way you want them to.
Its Freeps like you that make me want to get back on my Creep, such easy kills

You are right. This is mastery of the PvP environment. Smart tactics too.

Even chance? You mean even numbers. I've seen a champ take on 3 creeps before and win. My rub on what you're saying is this: I don't want to die, so I'll turtle until I know we can win.
Is that mastering the PvP environment? Maybe. Is it good PvP? I don't believe it is.
Every time I step on the moors I expect to die. I am a creep and we die. A lot. Most of us are looking for good PvP and not having to fight freeps at TR or TA who have numbers and are just looking to farm renown. The best battles on the moors have been fair fights...you remember those, the ones that everyone talks about afterwards regardless if you win or lose.

Blah, if you are in HH or Grothum and are not expecting to get ganked, then you need to quit the moors. I die in both places all the time, and I expect to.

Everything is not always a fair fight. Look at 1v1 vs a mini. Closest I have come to defeating one was a long battle that I ended up losing when I ran out of power. Next time I'll gear up for power and...oh wait, I can't. So I guess if I want a chance, I'll need to drag them to an NPC for help.
If you want to master the PvP environment keep things unbalanced. If you want good PvP, try to keep it fair.

Turbine is not the only one at fault for ruining PvP. This is exactly the idiotic, ezmode, facerolling attitude that ends up taking down any quality in the action. You might think you have it ´´clear´´, beleive me, you don´t.

Do I hear the drums of war? Is that a distant warcry? One night of Blade chaos for these new freepies perhaps? mhmm?
We were hoping that grima would start leading Creeps so we could ruin the moors on our Freeps for a change
He joined our creep raids several times in BW with a secret identity (refusing to use his mic).
Eventually we checked mylotro and figured it was him. Mere called him out and booted him off the raid: ´´Hey voa, cut the c*ap, we know it´s you! what are you doing here? trying to learn how to lead? learning how to have a pair?
I'm glad everyone got my point and understood that there was no sarcasm in what I said. Really, it all amounts to the fact that when I kill you it is because I am a better player and when you kill me it's because you either cheated, have no honor, or are just a meanie. Because I know I am a better player than everyone. So please, don't use the same tactics that I use to kill you against me. Isn't that what everyone expects when they are in the Moors?

You are right, of course. It was wrong of me to think that anyone could read my post and make an informed interpretation as to it's meaning without prior knowledge of the poster, how he communicates, and a history of dialogue so that you would know what to expect from him. From now on I will be sure to include footnotes and a third party analysis to help. Fyi - that was sarcastic .

.....or you could stop being a child and just use ./endsarcasm
FYI sarcasm doesn't translate well in print, without facial gestures or a tone of voice its difficult to ascertain the intent.....UNLESS its someone we know from reading previous posts that is prone to sarcasm. Again, no one knows you. Now you could be someone new or you could be a regular hiding their identity ./endforums101lesson

I really wanted to reply with something sarcastic, but it's 5am and not enough coffee yet. Sorry Gil....
./fail <--?!
or

See?! Not awake yet *sigh*
But thanks Madame - great thread and I did manage to crack a smile as the "saracasm" penetrated the morning cobwebs.
If some of the previous posts refer to trying to figure out my identity, good job. You got it. Really. I mean, your powers of deduction are only rivaled by Sherlock Holmes himself. As a result, I am giving up my sarcastic ways and am converting to blatant and obvious dialogue. Future posts will include pictures to facilitate thorough comprehension and transparency in meaning.

Did you write this in MS WORD and use the thesaurus function a bunch of times in this one?
What are you doing? I thought this thread had taken on a theme of sarcasm, and your post is just a standard insult. You're ruining everything! Now for my response:
You got me. But I didn't use a thesaurus (they went extinct a few million years ago, silly). I went to the local university and had one of the English professors write it for me. Although I should have had him explain it to me, because I don't understand a word of it.
I read Thularil's initial post as sarcasm, because the PvP playstyle he outlined was too over-the-top and hypocritical for me to take seriously. But everyone who replied did take it seriously, so I was at a loss. O.o /2cents
Anyway, went out to the Moors on a creepsy for the first time in over two months. Fantastic to see that very little has changed, cause I didn't have to learn anything new. XD
I doubt Sam is going to hide his identity. BTW, ToR is a horrible game, don't waste your time on it.
God no, the 3 games I meant are Grindscape (Runescape?), Starcraft II, and soon-to-be LoL. Dude, Im not a Jedi...

Welcome to Nimrodel :P Although I doubt u need that, I secretly I think u have a toon here... >.>
Grishgashr: Volo? Hes no way not a troll, Spidey may be but no one really pays attention to him
I have 3 level 75s on Nimrodel, and if you play the moors, you have either grouped with my main, or been killed by him if you are a creep (or killed him, much to my chagrin). And what I have learned about the Moors is that brings out a mentality similar to road rage in RL. Good, smart people behave an an irrational and selfish way, which was the spirit of my first and subsequent posts. And, yes, I apologize for eschewing the requisite sarcasm in this one.
If fighting a larger group of creeps is too challenging for you because you have no idea how to play your class, grab a friend and roam around the Ettenmoors, looking for creeps who are trying to farm for lootboxes. Because there's nothing that pisses the creeps off more than a couple of fail freeps (whom they could easily beat in a 1v1) interrupting their ever-frustrating search for a sigil.
Key places to show how lame you are:
Dorf Camp in Isen
Hoarhallow
Eagle Valley
Slug Pits
Practically anywhere in the Delving of Fror
**This note is specifically dedicated to Ullrson and Beleborn.**
Not like I play or anything, but you should adv this thread in glff and Moors OOC. Most of the people ur raging at, I dont think they check the forums much...
