My Elf doesn't want to be in Bree, infact she secretly downright loathes the place. But eversince she lost her way from her father in a violent confusion within her village, she has vowed to look everywhere for him; even Bree.

She doesn't frequent the place, but she does come back from time to time to ask any newcomers or have a bit of shelter from the rain as she passes through at the Pony. She is nomadic and takes any place she can get for a place to rest, so if there is a room avaliable at the Pony she might take it, since a bed is much better than the ground.

Unless she has to, she probably will not go to Bree. She's far too busy searching in The Shire nowadays anyway.

That's definitely a good reason, I think, especially with not liking Bree. I don't think there are many Elves who would like Bree. In the book, at least, I'm not sure I was a fan of it. My characters seem to like it though, one being from Gondor, and so this is as metropolitan as he can find.

Four characters who I've thought through thtis question with:

Seschat, my main, is an Elven Lore-Master who ended up taking the events of the tutorial to heart. It is the fault of these bloody Dourhands her mentor is dead. And their leader, Skorgrim, just won't stay dead. So she is following his trail, in hopes of one day feeding him to a dragon or sending him skinny dipping after the One Ring with Smegol. And the trail of the Dourhands let through Bree.

Raionei, the Elven Rune-Keeper, is from the southern havens. Being a child of the late third age, she is out to see the world her elders are so eager to abandon. Bree just happened to be a lively place along the way.

Reffie, my human Warden is a native of Bree. Beggar's Alley, to be precise. A grizzled veteran fortunately took her under his wing right before she went after the Southerners with a knife because they killed her best friend. And she trained under him in the Bree-land area until the incident at Archet.

And Saradream, my Hobbit Hunter, heard about this amazing turtle soup they make here...

Recent immigrant from the City of Paragon. We are heroes. This is what we do.

Hobbits would take a long and dangerous journey for turtle soup. I don't think any of the rest would.
