Thread: Things in game that make you laugh!!

Hi there, me here!

I like to laugh. Who doesn't? I mean it is a stress and tension reliever and when something is reallly funny, why shouldn't you laugh? This thread is about things you may have seen in-game whether it be content (quest, deeds, and the like) or things you've seen other players do that actually made you laugh out loud (not a LOL)

I'll start:
My brother, and a few kinnies were in a skirmish with me (The Fjords of Bruinen IIRC) and me being a relative noob about many things in game especially how other classes are played and their tactics, and some general tactics (I'm a Guardian for the record) we got to a point where a LT joined the field and it happened to be a Brothers of Destruction.
So I naturally am tanking one of the LT's as the brothers are two, and a couple of mobs, practicing tanking and holding aggro, and I see my kinnie running in circle on the outside edges of the area where we are fighting the mobs and LT.
I busted out laughing because at that point, to see a toon running around in circles getting chased by the other Brother (kiting as I was informed later) was just so out of place and ludicrously funny to me that I had a hard time playing I was laughing so hard. My brother kept asking me why the hell I was laughing and when I explained what was so funny, it made him bust out laughing at me as he explianed what Kiting is too me.

I do silly #### like that all the time, you think that's funny, then you should really pay attention when I'm in a raid or something and I'm trying to talk to people in naome, kinship, fellowship, ra, and responding/sending tells and I wind up posting in GLFF or any of the other wrong channels. But almost a good example young grasshopper, you'll make an excellent Padawan one day.

Also, I had a kinnie once that made a GREAT typo. She meant to say 'I have six' (she had a thing with spelling everything out, even numbers) but she somehow replaced the 'i' with an 'e'. That was the LONGEST list of in kin 'congrats' I've ever seen!

Here recently i have made a habit of replying to the advice channel with Alt+f4 as the solution to all problems. So the question of 'how do i turn the light on my goat in moria?" Alt+f4. How i copy and paste? Alt+f4. So far 2 people have been listed as 'player offline' after giving such sound advice. One took it as a joke, the other got bent out of shape and im'ed me afterwards. The one who got upset was by far the funniest.

Having done that, I laugh, but also feel sorry for them because I know that in the 3-5 seconds prior to posting that they were screaming "Why am I doing nothing here???? GAHH!!!" :P

The one thing in the game that stands out for me as having made me laugh like a madman was something that happened in a skirmish raid which rivalled even the best classic slap-stick comedies.

It was in the 'Battle in the Tower' Mirkwood skirmish. We were at the boss fight, which is a pretty crazy affair most times ... these people fighting this guy, those people kiting others, 2 healers doing their thing ... etc, etc. So Lorienvanya is up on one of the side platforms healing the group up there when suddenly she gets punted, flies up the wall but also slides along the wall until she's well off the platform area then falls, Wile E Coyote style to the floor ... and gets run over by the trolls and the heavy who's tanking them.

Raid leader noticed that I took damage (when I shouldn't have) and asked what was wrong ... I couldn't answer I was laughing so hard. One of those moments you wish you'd been able to record.

Just about any time Utleth comes online and chats in glff the flame war begins. Some classic times there.

I definitely report people who do this for harassment, which it very clearly is. Always funny to see them rage in glff afterwards, or, in a few cases "is offline or does not exist".

Don't get me wrong, it's probably not your fault that you're a sociopath, but since I can't report your parents, there's not much else to do.

Anyway, back on topic, the funniest thing in-game is the sheep near the West Bree stable. Turn up your sound effects and be entertained for hours!

Running grand stair, we get to the first boss, the one who likes to punt you. Right at that point, one of our fellowship lags out and doesn't come back. So, real quick we pug in a replacement. This arrogant Champion who first thing he says is "Ok b**chs! I'll show you how it's done! (he's level 75 and just wants to plaster everything I guess). He runs right up to the boss, starts beating on him and instantly gets punted off the platform and falls to his death. We were still on the stairs so the boss reset and we all just walked over to the edge and stood there clapping for him. He swore at us and left the fellowship.

After finishing the skirmish raids, Best laugh for me is when I said if you want to do another one please in group and just leave instance...Funniest part is when half the group leaves fellowship and im me to invite them back o.o

I totally forgot about this thread. Thankies guys and keep them coming. I love reading what makes you guys laugh.

And I especially do enjoy saying something stupid in GLFF whether on accident or on purpose just to get trolled, because whenever I am having a bad day or am pissed, sad, etc... Sometimes it really does cheer me up to simply get trolled and trade insults and snarkiness back and forth in GLFF, especially when I can pick on my friends and they are laughing and harrassing me right back. Thankies and keep up the good work.

~The epicness of hearing "lulululullulu"

~Having some great fighting going on, raid of freeps out and hearing over and over:
F**in Dafro
F**in Dafro
F**in Dafro
Then suddenly, randomly silence.....
Dafro says "f**in Vaj!"

~The great fun and predictability of fighting at stab, move to TRhs, fighting in front of TR then moving to inside TR, to the CG room (all this time just following where the freeps aka "the fighting is at") to realizing, "Well, darn can't get em out of their little room" (now that they have set the stage here by making sure to die right outside the front door so they can get rezzed from up top see), to just killing the CG to get access to the freeps~~~only to have some random greenie flip the flag then wait for the call to go out in OOC from all the Freepycreeps "BB just ruined pvp again" LOLOLOL

and my absolute favorite funny is:

looking high and low for any action in the moors, trying to find that clever roaming pack of freeps, lots of chat going on in OOC (just your typical stuff) when suddenly they show up at EC so the call goes out in OOC (and believe it or not it actually happened!!) rarely and randomly one person says

"Where is EC?"

That does sound kinda funny, guess it would be a whole lot funnier if I actually did PvMP and knew what you were talking about. ;p

My newest funny moment: Turbine announces partnership with Steam. Yay!!! My bro informs me that with LOTRO now on Steam, I may be able to run LOTRO on my wife's old pos lappie finally. Yay... I go through the whole process of setting up a steam account, downloading the game and launcher, waiting foreverish for the freakin updates... Log-in and watch the launcher prepare and oooo-boy I'm excited now... even if it lags to hell I can finally play at home... then comes the #&$&*^$$%# error pop-up box saying my graphics just don't exist on this lappie to play the game not without some sort of hosting or some other nonsense I know nothing about... So once again, I get all the love from Turbine or more acurately the real world hates my wife's lappie... Funny Right? -.- ROFL

But maybe this lappie will run EQ2, or STO, or DDO... I'll know if they ever download
so maybe I can find some people to hang out/harass ;p in one of those games...

and if they don't, then I guess there really is a good reason why the universe and reality keep me from playing MMO's at home... although if I get too, too desperate I could download the free WoW, but then I'd have to go hang myself or something cause I jsut don't know if I could handle WoW >.<
Or when I'm not in Middle-Earth or class or looking for work (i.e.- home and bored) I could just say eff it and play Skyrim or any other awesome game I own ROFL ^_^

P.S.-And yes I am posting all over the forums because I'm bored and on the lappie downloading games and wasting time
