From Wikipedia: “Obfuscation (or beclouding) is the hiding of intended meaning in communication, making communication confusing, wilfully ambiguous, and harder to interpret.”
Here is an example: On the ferry boat that I ride every morning, there is an area that is labeled, “Survival Craft Embarcation Station”. This is really the life boat launch.
Another example: Paper-enclosed vegetable matter for the inhalation of heat-activated nicotine.
Or, cigarette.
Now if we combine this concept with Tolkien trivia we might have some fun.
Here is an example of that:
Riddle: Bole bearing flora associated with social events.

Answer: The Party Tree.
Lets give this a try.
About limits: lets try to keep this associated with the most common of the professor’s published works: The Hobbit, The Lord Of The Rings, The Sillmarillion. This way we will be able to include more players.
I will start this off. Here is the first one:
Itemize the matter deposited within the cavity attached to a vesture not belonging to you that is in your presence.
Like I told you... What I said...Steal your face right off your head.
A reference to Bilbo and Gollum's riddle-game in 'The Hobbit'. "What's it got in its pocketses?"
Close enough for me!
Congratulations!
Another thing about these somewhat arbitrary trivia categories: as far as I'm concerned an "exact" answer is not needed. If the guesser gets the gist of what you are looking for that should be close enough. If you think it's important that the answer be "exact", then state that when you are posting the riddle.
In this case the exact answer would have been: "What have I got in my pocket?" That is what Bilbo said when he stuck his hand in his pocket and felt the ring. Gollum took it for a riddle and the rest is history.
Ok, brianvencill, you're up!
