i had an issue with the downloader last month. now on my new laptop again???
dont u want people to download the game and play it? This is going to definatly stop people from playing lotro. i mean new players who try to download and think forget it due to this issue.
last month it kept telling me i had no internet connection.. now its getting stuck on installed pre-requisites.

why are u using this panda media company? they are useless and loosing you customers and money
really annoying.

now i have to wait for them to fix servers or whatever to download game? if i was new customer i would have given up gone to another game. really
Not sure why you would need to download the client multiple times....
just copy all game files to a 16GB mem stick then to the new laptop Problem solved.

if your getting stuck on installing pre-requisit software that means you must have lotro isntalled already in which case lotro no longer needs pando media booster installed, infact pando can cause network slowdowns unless either disabled or uninstalled
if lotro is repeatedly downloading pre-requisit software every time you start lotro switch to US date formats ie month day year (mm/dd/yyyy, makesure you select "/" and not "," for the date seperators) you may need to switch your pc regional settings to US first before US dates become available. once pre-requisit software has installed switch back to your normal dates
if your having problems downloading lotro onto a second pc then try as NickStern suggests, copy the fully pached install from machine A>B. preferably using the installer you used previously to install lotro then replace the unpatched install with the fully patched install from the working pc

A quick observation. If you have had problems on 2 different systems, it might actually be a problem at your end. Something in you router or ISP?
no internet connection, or it is halting on the first few stages before the game download actually begins.
its pathetic. 2 days??? cant get the game. really the most pathetic installer ever.
not my connection as i tried it home and work. SAME thing.

thats it. thats all it ever gets to. for 2 days now.
If its the Pando installer doing this most likely something is preventing one executable from installing another (in this case something is stopping PMB.exe from downloading and running a Visual C++ installer).
Make sure that you don't have Data Execution Prevention (DEP) set to "all programs and services" and if you do change it to just critical Windows files and services.
Also make sure that your antivirus/internet security suite isn't preventing it as well (if using Avast! as an example you typically have to pause it by right-clicking its icon near the Windows clock and choosing one of the related pause options). These can prevent programs not on a user trusted list from performing functions because of additional security they have based on program actions.

I've had download troubles only twice before, at the very start (that's some time ago) and again after Moria. Now my launcher got stuck at examining data and stayed there for some 8 hours. I checked the net for help (these forums for one) but decided to go with uninstall and reinstall (have the highres client loaded ready).
What is this junk, have I not spent enough, having been a subscriber for Eru knows how long, having bought all expansions and lifetime? That's not fair, but I'm getting mighty annoyed at all the little problems. Maybe because I got used to game being one of the very best, MMO or not.
See you in Rohan in about... 2 hours. That's how long it takes to ride my ISP steed.
