Was too tired to form coherent sentences last night, so I decided to wait until today to post my reply to this.

This game, for me, is so much about customization and it's one of the things I adore about the game. We need more hairstyles. MORE. Long hair, short hair, braids, pig tails, pony tails, you name it, it would be nice!
Oh and as for hobbits, can we have some curly hair that doesn't look like a clown wig? Maybe something with a bow?
I also like that person's idea earlier of the dwarf beards, long, full and some with bows (because lets face it, some people would like to play a feminine dwarf).
Hooooray I think i lost count of the number of times i moaned about the lack of good hairstyles (particulary curly hobbit style ones - to match my rl style )
turbine people dont under estimate the power of character customisation - somthing that has been a tad overlooked in recent updates.
So yeah new hairstyles would be fantastic
please
with cherrys on top!

I do play a female dwarf, and she has exactly one beard option that looks in any way suitable. Not sure about bows - they seem a bit frivolous for a dwarf - but I'd love to see some more decorative styles, maybe with gold or beads threaded into the braids?
I've recently designed a new hobbit lady and with whatever hairstyle she'd only look nice with 2 face options.
All other face options looked so silly with every hairstyle.
Hopefully, 'someone' is reading this! I am not alone! Long hairstyles complement the game, as well as the books and movies. Do you think Arwyn or Aeowyn would not approve of the long locks? This would make a big difference to female characters/ female players, as we do want to look the part. I am hoping this will be taken into consideration, as well as the other fine points brought out in this thread. /beg
I put on a hat the other day (can't remember were i got it), it was not really my style, but out of the back was this epic pony tail which I for sure would love to have the option to use without the hat. Seems like it would be just a short leep if the cosmetic is already tied to a hat. I will try and find out the name and post later.

Something I am personally interested in is the ability to wear an eye-patch and a hat. And no, not the tricorn/eyepatch thingy, either. I want to wear a patch with my miserly top hat.

I like the hairstyles, but, some could go out, what is so modern. One of the elven hairstyles looks like Elvis' hair.
My really problem with the hair is that, that when I equip a helmet or a hooded cloak, it disappears, and this is not good, especially for female characters. And, I agree with the hint, eyepatch could be used with helmets or hats. I would do this with the quivers/backpacks with the cloaks. A hooded cloak with a quivers, it looks fine, very fitful for a ranger character or a someone, who wants to look like as a warden of Lothlorien. And well, my main character is an elven knight, a champion, and I could be very happy, if I could equip both of these things.
I really love the game, but we really do need more customization options - starting with hairstyles. Most of them are hideous. They look like spiky rats nests or blocky helmets. As it stands now, only the male elves have hair choices I like, and since I only play female characters, I'm out of luck. People have been complaining about this since the game first came out. How hard would it be to add a few decent styles? Turbine could even put them in their store. I'm not the only one who would willingly pay to have a character with nice looking hair.
I also agree with other posters who've said that they'd like to be able to change their make-up at the barber shops.
However, I want the hair to remain within lore and an example of something I'd be disappointed in seeing are mohawks. Mohawks are not within the lore and are what the middle finger is to most people for native americans.
I agree that female characters have the worst hairstyle options. how hard is it to give gals a couple of braid choices, and a ponytail that doesnt stick out in the back like a stick? And why can i only buy white-silver hair for my skirmish soldier? sheesh,,that color is lore and no one can have it in game on a character?

The hair color is dependent upon which region your character is from. This is, sadly, only available at character creation, but when creating a new character, try switching through the different regions to see different hair (and eye) color choices. At least one of my characters in each race has white / silver hair.
Agreed, but you also ought to be able to change eye colour at barber npcs too.

I agree! Please Turbine show some love to hobbits and female elves especially. All the hobbit ones look awful except for perhaps two. Tolkien said hobbits have curly hair but the curly ones in game are dreadful. So...my whittle hobbit has to wear her hair straight since it's the only thing that looks ok with her face. As for the elves, at the moment male elves have much better hairstyles than the females!
Yeah, on my hobbit gals it is either pigtails or one of the straight ones. The others are horrible looking and not fitting the otherwise excellent graphics in this game.
I would love to be able to have some versions of the male elves' braided, beaded and decorated styles for female elves and females in general.
It would also be nice to have some way of having really long hair that didn't clip horribly with shoulder gear and cloaks. And styles that look less like awkward lumps of hair and more natural!
Can we get some more FACE styles while we're at it?

/signed! Preferrably slightly longer styles too! New face graphics would also be nice - some of the current ones look really same-y, while some races (female hobbits and elves especially) only have a couple of nice ones.
Yes please!!!! Long, flowing hair, braids, *something* for female elves that is different, beautiful and elvish instead of choppy, short or just ordinary. Curly hairstyles for hobbits that don't look like odd wigs and some variety between races. Male elves and dwarves are the only ones that have any unique styles.

This please... If long flowing hair is not possible then please more hairstyles (particularly for Elves) with long hair that isn't flowing - more styles with the long hair put up.
There is a shortage of female Elven hairstyles where the hair is long and not in the face (which is really impractical for fighting).
