    New hairstyles

Simple thing imo. I'd simply like to see some new hairstyles for RoR. Silly thing perhaps, but I feel like a lot of the options are very unappealing. More customization is always a good thing.

Yes Please!!! More Hairstyles. Would be nice to have a ponty tail with the hats too - male and female toons.

Yes a thousand times, especially pony tails with the hats.

I also always turn off the hats and only use a hooded cloak when in Frochel. I would like to see more warrior style hair that would not interfere in battle, and maybe more braided styles (and I don't mean from the movies)

Yes, there's only one hairstyle among the male elf styles that I like. As others have said, give us hairstyles that suit hats. Also maybe showing some hair coming out of hooded cloaks?

Yes please!!!! Long, flowing hair, braids, *something* for female elves that is different, beautiful and elvish instead of choppy, short or just ordinary. Curly hairstyles for hobbits that don't look like odd wigs and some variety between races. Male elves and dwarves are the only ones that have any unique styles.

    Re: New hairstyles

As it's not very probable that they will be able to apply proper physics to hair and to get rid of the awful clipping, I want only one thing: more short hair styles for males and females. And more short beard styles for dwarves. All those elvish flowing extravagant hairstyles look awesome on the character creation screen, but absolutely silly ingame as soon as the char begins to move and his fancy braids pierce his pauldrons or armor.

I don't think we will ever see the clipping fixed which is same reason we don't see the really long hair, but some new styles in hair and beards that don't look like they have been glued on would be nice.

More practical long hair styles for male men. I would dearly love to have a long ponytail, opposed to the plain odd, short...thing, they have now for option.

I've said before that I wish they would just import a few more of the hair designs from DDO. The two games already share quite a few of the styles.

    I'd love these, for example:

Especially for more long, flowing, elvish hairstyles. And some sensible hobbit ones. Many of theirs are too big and fluffy and fake.

Agreed and ./signed. I also never wear visible hats and hoods for that reason.

I also wish they were able to have a couple of very long hair styles for the races of men and elves. I don't understand the 'clipping' that some posters were talking about, so maybe it's just not possible?

New hair styles would be nice... would be great if they could revamp some of the older ones too..give them some reflection of light or something to get rid of that statue look.

Making them work with hats would be awesome!

I only wear an eyepatch or circlet when I show a hat...otherwise its "hoods", for me.

On the dwarven subject...Dwarven women are supposed to look like the males... but cant they have sliiiightly feminine beards? maybe bows on the braids or something?

    Yes!

The dwarf NPCs added with expansions over the years all look amazing with their huge beards, tucked-into-belt beads, and other long beards. Why can't we have them?! Thorin's Hall should have special reputation beards, as well.

agreed whole heartedly, we need more long hair styles, female hair styles such as long ( down below the waistline )single or double pony tails such as fantasy/mythical princeses.
and same with male hair styles , such as native indians....would look great for hunters...

    Whole heartedly agree.

My LOTRO experience would, indeed, be complete if they even just had a cosmetic item that even took the helmet and/or cloak slot, had the same animation as the cloaks, but was remodeled to being long hair. And yes, please below the waist -- for males and females (My only blog has my own personal drawings portraying my character like this).

I don't know how weird I am, but it really does feel cheapened to me to not have that one characteristic >.<
All I need now is long hair (knee-length, most hopefully), and I'm said I will then be as I had hoped and have drawn my character to be. I wouldn't mind giving up the cloak slot for such a thing.

Not weird at all! Not having hair movement and a good variety of styles is a huge part of the overall aesthetic that is missing. For some ideas, I would suggest looking at Warhammer Online screenshots. Long, varied styles that move with the same feel as cloaks in the wind gives more life to the avatar. Even clipping in this case wouldn't be a huge deal since hair isn't solid and cloaks and shoulders should show through!

    -Exactly-!

In truth, I'm -really- not seeing the real issue with implementing long hair... LOTRO focuses a great amount on cosmetics (Fashion contest is underway, for example >.>), and the lore is full of it. Lastly, cloaks really seem to do about the same, mechanically.

I've been asking for 4 years for long hair. I'm really glad to see others agree.

I learned how to graphic edit/design from age 14 to make mods for games to allow my character to have long hair. It's a pretty big deal to me. I even casted a miniature (with the Warhammer (LOTR) Khandish king as the base) to have the long hair + youthful face:

How about a completely bald hairstyle on both genders?
We could roleplay as skinheads, march through Bree and harass any race other than man we see. Then we'd realise how pathetic we are and log out.

Morvathir 65 Guardian (Rank 7), Morcallor 65 Craptain (Rank 0.5), other toons unworthy of mention. Slavetothebum R4 Reaver, Bummagic R2, other toons unworthy of mention cause they have not done the rite of initiation.

I have been suffering from this curse for quite a time now!! The glorious beards of the npc's outshine mine by far! A new variety of long hairstyles for men (male) and beards and hairstyles for dwarves are the things I would like to see. Also can the beards on dwarves not stick through some of the wrap around shoulder pads, it just looks ridiculous in many cases.

But sticking to the main discussion, Aye more hairstyles and customization please (new scars as well?)
