Simple thing imo. I'd simply like to see some new hairstyles for RoR. Silly thing perhaps, but I feel like a lot of the options are very unappealing. More customization is always a good thing.

Yes a thousand times, especially pony tails with the hats.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
Civ II rules after all these years......
I also always turn off the hats and only use a hooded cloak when in Frochel. I would like to see more warrior style hair that would not interfere in battle, and maybe more braided styles (and I don't mean from the movies)
Signed! And totally agree about the hat thing - none of my characters wear visible hats because it makes their hair go away. >.>
Agreed and ./signed. I also never wear visible hats and hoods for that reason.
I also wish they were able to have a couple of very long hair styles for the races of men and elves. I don't understand the 'clipping' that some posters were talking about, so maybe it's just not possible?
Something I am personally interested in is the ability to wear an eye-patch and a hat. And no, not the tricorn/eyepatch thingy, either. I want to wear a patch with my miserly top hat.

I like the hairstyles, but, some could go out, what is so modern. One of the elven hairstyles looks like Elvis' hair.
My really problem with the hair is that, that when I equip a helmet or a hooded cloak, it disappears, and this is not good, especially for female characters. And, I agree with the hint, eyepatch could be used with helmets or hats. I would do this with the quivers/backpacks with the cloaks. A hooded cloak with a quivers, it looks fine, very fitful for a ranger character or a someone, who wants to look like as a warden of Lothlorien. And well, my main character is an elven knight, a champion, and I could be very happy, if I could equip both of these things.
I really love the game, but we really do need more customization options - starting with hairstyles. Most of them are hideous. They look like spiky rats nests or blocky helmets. As it stands now, only the male elves have hair choices I like, and since I only play female characters, I'm out of luck. People have been complaining about this since the game first came out. How hard would it be to add a few decent styles? Turbine could even put them in their store. I'm not the only one who would willingly pay to have a character with nice looking hair.
I also agree with other posters who've said that they'd like to be able to change their make-up at the barber shops.
I agree that female characters have the worst hairstyle options. how hard is it to give gals a couple of braid choices, and a ponytail that doesnt stick out in the back like a stick? And why can i only buy white-silver hair for my skirmish soldier? sheesh,,that color is lore and no one can have it in game on a character?

The hair color is dependent upon which region your character is from. This is, sadly, only available at character creation, but when creating a new character, try switching through the different regions to see different hair (and eye) color choices. At least one of my characters in each race has white / silver hair.
