hurray, I won a guardian's steed! On my lvl23 captain, but i guess i can pick a nice outfit to go with the checker pattern

thanks for handing out a horse as a price (to me, even)!

now if only store-bought mounts would be account wide, I actually might consider buying one at some point

I wouldn't know. Haven't won in a month and I've entered darn near every single lottery.

Agreed! It is hard to justify paying 20$USD (or the equivalent of 400 quests which award 5 Turbine Points each) for a virtual horse, especially since most our horses will be useless once the War-steed from Rohan becomes available in the fall expansion.

Actually the day after I posted this I won the Steed of the Guardian.

Though I have lost every lottery since then, but we'll see how the next month goes.

heh, I must have an extremely bad run of bad luck. Of all the mount lotteries they've ever had I've never won one. Won some other nice pretties but still no mount. I do love that they're doing a mount month though.
I'm hopin for another round of the RK steed and crossing my fingers that at least one of my 6 Rk's gets it.... granted, I'd rather it be on my only 75, but I'll love it either way.

I won the Steed of Night for my burg today.

Paid all of last year. Won a few lotteries. To date, I have NEVER won a mount lottery. And that's with 5 entries each time. The lotteries hate me.

and also not win lotterys. I still hold hope that oneday i will win something, after all i spend enough money on this game :P

That's how it is for me lol. I don't even win anything in real life so no biggie

I have 8 characters over level 10 that I put on every lottery. No luck so far.

Idea to the devs: New store item "Always Present" You will be entered in every lottery for the next 14 days. 95 TP.

I won! My first win ever and I won 3 times. I know this means that more than half the server won but still. /Happy_Dance

I feel like giving up on the lotteries now. Not ONE steed this month, or ever. Only 3 lottery wins this year. Hell with it. Winning might be nice but losing is where some of us perpetually stand.

this week I won a steed of minas Ithil with my hobbit burglar

I always win on the characters that I don't play very often, on my alt servers. Oh well. It's still free stuff.

Kinda don't understand the logic of entering on unused chars tbh. Oh well.

So a week after posting that ill never win, i won twice helps to cry sometimes???

Easy way to enter lotteries compares to checking individual boxes.
Truth is Turbine makes it easy to enter lotteries with those characters.

I must admit I always do the same.
And in a way it's still nice to have a good mount ready for that character in case you ever decide to play them.

It would be nice if players could make a list of what character they want elligable for lotteries so they can simply only see whose when using select all.

I didn't say the character was unused. I said I don't use the character as often.

Count me in the bad luck club too...*equips the horse shoe and clicks the lottery button* anyway..one can hope.

Seems to me it would make sense to mark a character as "inactive" (for lotteries) if they haven't logged in for a specific amount of time; thus requiring folks to log in with that character in order to enter a lottery with them.
It also seems that they already have this capability, but maybe the length of time is too long and needs to be shortened? (2 weeks? 4 weeks? *shrug*)

You've all noticed the asterisk note at the top indicating something about not logging in recently, right?

I won 2 mounts this month

A rune keeper horse for my cappie and a steed of night for my crafting (but active node gathering) burg. These were early in the month and so when lotteries for the same steeds came up again I unchecked the boxes for those alts that had already won that type. ie unchecked burg for steed of night and unchecked cappie for rk horse. It would be a waste and unfair to win the steed again on an alt that could not use the duplicate.

My dear sister Lieselotte Trecalia won three lotteries in a row....I can only assume that The Powers That Be are going to set some horrific traps for her in Moria.

it certainly is a good idea to actually read what the price is before you click "mark all" "enter".

as a p&p-roleplayer I believe in 'using up chances' when throwing the dice for fun and rolling 1's (or 20's for you d&d guys), thus lessening my chances when its for real

edit: funny, typing pointy bracket open mark all bracket close actually marks the text in yellow and enter produces a line feed

I've lost track of how many times I've won the Free Peoples lotto on my Hunter alt on Eldar. At least it gets me to log in and play her for a couple of levels each time I win something. And having nice jewelry and 6g at level 25 is nice. Now I just wish people on Eldar would craft more lower level stuff for the AH! I need a bow!

Winning is indeed nice - someone at Turbine must like me, I started entering lotteries around the 8th of February, and have so far acquired.... drum roll...

Well, here's one with really, really bad luck then. I have entered every single Lottery of the Angrenost (and they run every second day or so) with 9 characters, and last time I have won with even one of my characters was February 8th. In January (and before that) I used to win at least once a week with some of my characters at least, so to me it seems like the number of winners have gone down, and not up.

Just checked lotro Website via my phone, and who would have thought, seems i won the new horse/pony on my lvl20 dwarfen runekeeper. Cant wait logging in to check it out:-)

even more thanks to turbine, despite some bad streaks in between sometimes the RNG realizes I am playing too :-)
