Hi guys, I`ve started playing LOTRO again after a long break, I did have an old account on a different server a couple of years ago, but I started a new account and new character as I couldn`t retrieve mye login information.
Anyway, as far as I understand, LOTRO is now a US server only game, and I was wondering whether there are any fellow "Euros" on this server ? Nice to know when it comes to what times of the day are best for me to play.
there is atleast one... that I can confirm xD
there are a few people around when it's daytime for me. however, the peak of activity is definitely later from about 7-9pm CET and later
Yes, i am also from Europe (Netherlands). We also have EU players in our kin and with 3 EU officers since a month for organizing EU time zone things we hope to get more and more EU players.
Yea I personally know 3 Polish people on 75lvl.
If it comes to raid - its little bit difficult because most of raids are on US evening time so late night for me but well what can we do...

oh my god, your first post in forums, sily! hahaha try to beat me! :P
anyway, you were 1 of the 15 from East Europe i told about xD.
I`ll try to get online some more this week and weekend, I am currently playing a Captain as my main character.
Do you guys have any tips about what classes and professions/trades are good for a "new" player like me ?
Captain is a great class. Eventually it is up to you on what to roll next. I recently started rolling a burg due to how fun a couple kinnies made it look and the fact that I could rarely find a burg for my Draigoch raids Lol. Anyways, profession, imo, should be something either beneficial to your class/ classes you roll or its always good to craft consumables. You are guaranteed constant income that way. My guard is an armourer... For obvious reasons, burg is a historian. They compliment eachother well.
To add to this thread, there are also some Belgian and Turkish players on Riddermark. In the early days of Ridder there was quite a few european players, whether or not they still play I dont know.
I'm from Finland and I have two friends from here aswell. I have come back aswell and my old characters are now in Laurelin [EN-RP] server. I've played with those when LOTRO wasn't yet free to play game. I thought that I need to learn this game again and my two friends was already playing in this (Riddermark) server.
I made Captain (armourer) as my main too, but when I made my "alt" Hunter (woodsman) I change that one to be my main.
I'm soloing quite alot so my captain needs more power than he has so thats why I like hunter more. Hunter is good killing machine if used correctly.
Also if I would like to carry supporter/agro taker equipment with me it takes too much room from my backbags so it's easier to be hunter for that reason too.
Rohamir (my hunter) can craft all weapons he needs by him self and he can collect hides, turn it to the leathers and send it to my Aidanwulf (my captain armourer, alt) who can craft medium armours for Rohamir.
Aidanwulf is at lvl 19 (levelled today) and has started his tier 4 metalsmith crafting yesterday, so yes I could say that I mostly use it for crfting but I try to keep it levelled aswell. Rohamir is at lvl 20 and can craft tier 3 bows and melee weapons.
There is many changes with exmple skills what was long time ago. Example captain skill "telling mark" was lvl 6 skill and now it's some where at 30. I still have my old "Official Game Guide" book what I bought same time when I bought my LOTRO game (when it was released) but I have noticed that I can't trust it 100% anymore.
It's easy to get some money from AH if yo are not too creed. You can find cheep armours from there aswell becouse I try to craft time to time critical armours to sale there and I have noticed that my products has been mostly cheapest one. Only itmes what is sold too low price are cheaper than mine. (=starting bid is under items worth).
My price is calculated this way: (Item worth + AH posting fee) / 95 x 100 = initial price (round up to cover repairing costs)
initial price x 10 = Out bid price.
If someone wonder why I first share 95 and tyhen I multiply with 100 is that AH takes 5% from selling price and I take that back from buyer.
What I have noticed too is that it's good way to get some deeds done fast if you buff people even if they are not in the same fellowship! I buff peolpe what I see example in Bree. =D If I see someone fighting out there I might check does he need some buffing/healing or any other help and I do that if needed.
(Sorry about my english, it's not my mother tongue!)
yeah me and my gf were playing until recently we are from turkey +2 time zone. but we know few peeps from bosnia, poland, portugal, iceland, sweden and germany.
Hm..are there any european guilds around? I was looking for a guild earlier...i'm very noob so i need a guild that understand that i'm not such a good player, i need a lot of guidance. I found a pretty cool guild. However, the raid times are killing me :P
Wondering if there is any nice EU people around...i'm scandinavian myself.

Hi, I've been European for pretty much my whole life give me a call if you see me on! The server has a good history of cross-guild, pan-server co-operation if you want to do raids at a particular time it just needs a spot of planning!
