Thread: Global Chat Channels

I wanted to start a thread for folks to list the global chat channels in use on Imladris. I'm posting one that everyone probably already knows about, but in case there are some newer players here, we have GLFF (Global LFF). GLFF has basically become the default global communication channel, and can get annoying at times, but it does serve as a good means for seeking fellowships for quests, dungeons, and skirmishes. If you want to join the channel, simply type "/joinchannel GLFF" in your chat box. To type in the channel use "/#" with # being 1 to 4 depending on what other custom chat channels you have previously joined.

I'll add the "world" channel to the list (just type /joinchannel world to join)

Although people use glff for almost general purpose, world channel is the more appropriate as well as the channel that was meant to be global ooc chat channel....for anything from discussions, chit chats, debates and talk about both game and off-game topics to distributing virtual cookies and pies, casual catching up, etc ....anything at that....this leaves glff more more its core function of looking for fellowships and about game mechanics and in-game discussions...
