Not as impressive as all of these full clears that have been posted, but:

Mac Raid (mixed kinship raid group) on Silverlode has done:
    Lightning T2C
    Acid T2C
    Frost & Fire T2

We're hoping to finally down Shadow T2 (likely not challenge) before Monday. Fingers crossed!

    Hopefully video to follow but;

    *******
Ozraid of Nimrodel - finally T2 Saruman complete.
    *******

Nothing as close as say "Oh 1 person got thrown off" (no throw offs actually ) or pots missed or anything like that. Just some good ol' fashioned morale-to-zero defeats.

Very proud of them all and happy to finally get this one done JUST before the update.

Should note - much like many other servers I imagine, some kin groups / alliances have not posted their accomplishments RE: Nimrodel, but that does make at a bare minimum, all of T2 Orthanc complete (with 3 challenges done).

I say this merely to inform that raiding is certainly alive and well on Nimrodel. There have been misconceptions in the past about this server's ability to complete these sorts of raids (Ost Dunhoth being only fully challenge mode completed by 1 kinship) and I truly love being on this server. If I had wanted to definitively thrash raids without needing to worry about population, then sure off to Brandywine or Elendilmir I would go.

Pardon the soap boxing...but very happy to hear the the group once we did it too, and immensely proud of them sticking it out despite the attendance problems pushing our schedules back in Orthanc. Can't wait for the new cluster to see what challenges it brings.

(Also any recommendations RE: image uploads? Highly unlikely I know, but I am trying to avoid any 'sign-up' type image hosters IF possible).

So. With Riders of Rohan coming out tomorrow / today, just would be good to get an opinion or two, but first my thoughts.

It'll be a little bit before everyone is 85. I reckon I'll keep updating as far as say...a month into the update? There has to be a cut-off point at least from my perspective so any such date would be merely a random decision. Orthanc will still officially be the current true 'end-game' content insofar as there will be no immediate raiding instance for 85.

Not that I'd never update it again after that - but most likely won't be checking back as often as I did.

So yeah - any thoughts? Been a fun ride. Other than Acid jumping and Fire/Frost disappointment (lovely idea but slightly marred), it's been great.

Well, I kind of think that the thread should close tomorrow morning. People completing Orthanc at lvl 85 (or even 76 for that matter) are not really accomplishing the same thing as those that beat it on level. Not trying to be elitist or anything, but I just really do think that we are talking apples and oranges.

    Just my two cents though.

Bolded that part to make a particular point:

Dude...you AREN'T being elitist with that. The point of such a progression thread is simply tracking the completion of end-game content. For the most part it will no longer be end game. That said for my own opinion, up until level ~77 or so, the raid is still going to be moreorless just as difficult in relation to strategy / coordination etc required, but you will see less of the inherent miss chance / resist etc stuff going on.

Being elitist would be "It's not an accomplishment at all past 75". You're not saying that...you're just saying it is not the same thing that was recorded in this thread, simple as that.

I am quite happy to call it quits there. The servers are down now - the update is coming. People are well welcome to post further accomplishments in there (and hey ....if they keep their characters at 75 - that counts right?). Whether I continue to update it past X point...I will let people know. Yet again not stopping people posting for their own sake of course.

In fact... It might even be *harder* to complete the raid at 76/77 due to changes in the conversion ratios from mastery -> offense, mitigations etc. I don't believe there are many teal items with better stats than the LG ones in the 76-78 level rage.

I've not done the maths on that one and since I don't have access to the gear list for 76/77 so I can't say for sure if this is true.

My own raid group is far from completing all of Orthanc T2C, but I'm 100% on board with there being at least *some* way of indicating who managed to do stuff on-level vs. people who completed things over-leveled. I know I've had lots of discussions about whether or not we'd continue to run ToO after RoR launches, trying to get those last few kills we're missing, and I honestly haven't decided as I'd absolutely love to finally beat those fights, but wouldn't really feel the same sense of accomplishment doing it above level 75.
