Thread: NEW Orthanc Raid Progression Thread

Acid is one of the easier challenges the reason it wasn't done before Shadow is due to the fact that everytime you failed you had to reclear trash which wasn't fun. Now its fixed and now we will see it beaten by numerous groups within the next 2 weeks.

We beat acid challenge a long time ago. Should of saved our locks though to do it again after the patch. But I agree its easiest after lightning.

ya, it's not that hard. We always did it the normal way, but someone always got hit by a fountain. 3 trys were enough to figure out how to jump. The adds are very easy once you figure out how to do them, even if you have bad luck with bubbles and heals you have enough time.
But it's nice, we now have 3 CMs on farm, so we can rush through the first 4 IDs on the first raidday and can spend all 3 hours of the entire 2nd one for Saruman. And finally a 2nd boss to hope for that burg-bracelet

Our raid group physically cannot do Acid as someone lags while jumping resulting in about 3 deaths per acid rise.

Just a little update folks.

Firstly: Congratulations to the Acid Challenge clears! Nice work and glad to see it has become ...bearable a wing to attempt. I can't begin to imagine the frustrations before with the add bug.

Secondly - and be nice please

The time has elapsed RE: Saruman Tier 2 clear and at this point I am saying with confidence: No, to date there has been no clear of Saruman Tier 2.
A lack of sufficient evidence has had to lead to this decision and in the future people are well aware of what needs to be seen in order to claim a victory.

If unsure - the first post outlines the primary avenue of 'evidence' needed for a correct decision. Obviously those unhappy with such stringent standards are welcome not to post here and use another thread, but unfortunately these methods must be taken.

Personally it seems this thread a complete waste of time its just pure QQ and does anybody actually care who gets the first in Saruman Tier 2 anymore ?

The thread ist simply a collection of raid progression in Orthanc. Maybe also for the raid designer to see how the raid is accepted and played. It is not only for "first kills".
And I am sure many kinships will have a look here to see, which boss encounter is possible (yes easier).
The bugs of Saruman are bringing a bad taste but that is always the fact with bugs.
But 10 % black sheeps are no reason to flame the 90 % white sheeps and their progression in Orthanc.
In time of Fraps and Lets plays, You-Tube-Channels and so on a video documentation for a first kill ist not over-determined (at least screenies for all 5 phases of Saruman and one with the chest and eagle).

This seems to be the hardest part of the HM... managing 2 jumping phases without someone getting caught in a geyser.

Lightning Tier 2 regular? Or Tier 2 Challenge? (as most have either done T1 or T2C without the inbetween).

If T2C - great work and temporarily (after your answer - permanently) added to the list.
If just T2 - GREAT WORK! Don't know if anyone has bothered trying this out for research purposes.
