When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
In the old days, getting the rank 9 horse was the big ta da or just getting a red circle creep side, you felt like you might survive for more than 2 seconds. For others hitting rank 12 or getting invited to a raid or seeing a congrats thread in the forums brought tears to your eyes and you knew you finally made the big time.
I've been yelled at by Frizze but that was nothing new, I've been pointed out for cowardice by Megus and I've even got the "c'mon dude" from Icarium. All very fun stuff but not enough to make one feel special or sexy.
For me, it was when Rigs jumped me coming down from GV. I was so shocked, I didn't even hit touch and go. Months he's ignored me, even when I did the scene from the t.v. show episode in the Simpsons Martin style hop and skip around Nelson next to Rigs unstealthed and he wouldn't so much as swat at me for months. Finally he got on me, unfortunately the the time span between realizing it and dying was shorter than I would have liked, yes I hipsed but who could resist jumping back on him from stealth one more time at the mere hope of demolishing him.
Anyway, what was your moment of glory when you realized like Arnold in Conan the Barbarian "he mattered"?Last edited by Macgregor1821; Feb 01 2012 at 12:07 AM.

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
When I facerolled 4 wargs at LC on my noob guardian when I was rolling on Vilya. Also there was a time when I was running with a few of FbF (askir, rambos, ez, and Holy) we took on a whole raid at lugz rez and held them off for quite a while till they eventually just ran us over from the rez nearby.
and it sounds like umadbro

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
If I had to pick an event that made me feel "special" it would have to be these ...
* when Muscaria told me I was "pro and stuff" lol
* when Dahhu said I played my LM like a champ and I was the craziest most suicidal person out in the moors.
* when Ruull and I were grouped up at TR HSP and through healing each other and kiting through tar managed to kill 2 reavers, 1 spider, 1 ba and a defiler I think.
If you have not ever had an opportunity to group with these guys, you should when they are out. Ruull is an absolutely amazing RK, Musc's airplane joke is still the funniest thing I've ever heard, and Dahhu is still, imo, the best leader I've ever grouped with.
Yall have a great day! ~cheers~

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
When I was able to make Perseus, Frizle, and Holy rage on the same day!
Perseus because I was RAT and we were taking TA but I was at grams killing some wargs.
Frizle because I kept aggroing the Horn Blower and wiping our group in TA.
Holy because I ran into Lugs to break the cc he put on the player troll (he was on hunter (fear probably))... it killed him.
That also happened to be my best day in the moors.I'm Handi-capbale!

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
Hark to the tale of Nelson {Rigs}, and the boy {burg} he loved so dear. They remained the best of friends for years and years and years.Months he's ignored me, even when I did the scene from the t.v. show episode in the Simpsons Martin style hop and skip around Nelson next to Rigs unstealthed and he wouldn't so much as swat at me for months.
Man did this make me laugh.
I think my moment I thought I was somebody was at rank 7 when I single-handedly cut through about 7 [almost dead] freeps after my raid got wiped. Of course that thought lasted for about 4 seconds until the rest of the freeps showed up....

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
When my sissy on creepside got kicked out of Red Maw..
Then like a week later I totally saved Isen from 16 creepses trying to take it by causing a distraction when they were on tyrant, while freepses came to help meh. Then Snowie was all, "Yay! Pinnie saved teh Ettenmoors!"
And then another time raiding w/ Snowie he said "Pinnie has been playing for a few years now and is a good burglar!" Yay me :3Last edited by GibletsNBits; Feb 02 2012 at 08:04 AM.

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
LOL Dahhu was the only raid leader willing to invite level 45 Pibb or to his groups so I could hit r2 way way way faster than I did hitting rank 1 solo at level 40, yeah I was zerg bait but he did try to keep me alive with Chowzer pumping out every possible save available.
I've seen Dahhu since he came out to moors first day and his 1 vs 1 has really become incredible, even when he's tired, he can fine tune pretty quickly without a cup of coffee.
I've tried killing Ruull many times a couple years ago, mostly I could not. :P

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
I have a list of days that have made me happy.. here are a few.

I think this is good ol' Pibb raging on me.. good times.

Hessifit doing his usual flip-n-rage!

Another rage! These were all about in the span of a week. Most of these people have flipped multiple times. I have more but am too lazy to go through the thousands of SS I have.
You know you have made it when people rage flip on a regular basis.

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
I think my greatest moment alone would have to be the day i was camping 3 people at TR rez, alone on my BA Rezcamp. They probably weren't organized but the three of them kept trying at me. my crits were amazing and i was able to knock out the guard in record time (compared to the usual guard) and then take out the hunter then the burg. they killed me after about 7 attempts but i enjoyed my victory.
:edited: i guess i could say they took one to many arrows to the knee.

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
Pre-Isen on my burg, was scouting the keeps while the raid was off doing raid stuff... Went up top of TR and came across Rash, Kazzer, and Shak. Too bad right when I got there Rash apparently went LD and died to the CG, so I jumped in and killed em
Got a tell the next day congratulating me on impeccable timing and nice moves. It was a feel good moment I suppose.

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
When I was handpicked over Slinadan to continue to receive PVP training from Holydiverj.
Blood, sweat and tears, nothing more, nothing less, is what made Menathradon the most feared hunter in the moors.
Other servers, when on Elendilmir, it was when the name Meanablack was blacklisted by all tribes for introducing corpse jumping. You know you've hit the big time when the freep raid runs you down like a mac truck, and breaks their rules to corpse jump you!
Of course you know you've made the big time when Smegg and Grishlok send the Zergbots on you all the way up TR, but you still survive and make an epic youtube video about it.
So yeah, I've pretty much positioned myself to be "Mr. Somebody" in the world of LOTRO pvp.
I'm just really famous. and gosh darnit people like me.

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
when i went around grams killing solo greenies with 2 cappies. eat it pansies.
That hobbit you just called fat? He's skipping 2nd breakfast.
The dwarf woman you called ugly? She spends hours braiding her beard so you can differentiate her from a dwarf man.
The Uruk-Hai you just killed? he's been abused by Saruman.
See that Gollum creature with the gangly limb and large eyes? For 500 years the ring poisoned his mind.
That elf you just made fun of for crying? She just lost her wizard friend to a Balrog.
Put this as your signature if you're against bullying in Middle-earth!

Re: When did you first feel like you were a somebody in the moors?
Just after ISEN came out. BA's were hot ####e and Snowlock was out on his new dps raid gear so only 5k+ morale. I managed to squeeze a VT between the pillars on STAB and hit him for close to 4k. The second shot killed him. Later, and this is the good part, I came across him 1v1 near EC and he instantly turned and ran. Still makes me smile.
