It would be great if you can keep up this new spirit of communication - customer relations is something that needs to be very strong. Kate we would love to hear from your more.
When you can use your skirmish soldier in the open world for general questing, does that mean new content only or the whole world, including old quests?
Quite honestly I don't like the skirmish soldier too much, they are even dumber than Lore-Master or Captain pets. I wouldn't like to have difficulty adjusted in new contents to expect the soldier.
Let's just say we haven't announced everything we have planned for 2012.
Sorry Sapience. I dont want to say: dont belive you, but rly this cloudly informations kills me.
Many but many times before was many cloud informations about PvMP for PvMPers and many of them dont was realize.
I want see answer like this:
I’m very excited to finally be able to share with you some exciting news that we will be formally announcing today. This fall, we’ll be releasing our next major expansion, Riders of Rohan!
Great news! Please remember to hire a Beta-Tester before the major release though - I bet nobody wants to see the Draigoch fiasco all over again.

Am I right in understanding that we will need a unique steed for Mounted Combat? And normal horses will stay as they are?
If so, Turbine better put up all the 25$USD horses for sale before players realize that those horses will be more or less worthless.

The wait for updates to PvMP seems to be slightly longer. Maybe in 2043?

Will be an interesting year for sure, looking forward to all the fun to be had.
Leveling up our war horse and equipping it? Is this going to be the LI mess all over again, or is it going to be done right, where we'll actually keep one horse the whole time and not have to keep replacing it?
I got a War Horse and it sank into the swamp of low lvls, so I got another. It sank into the swamp, so I got another. It got shot in the knee with an arrow, fell over, and sank into the swamp. So I bought another, and after 500 horseshoes of empowerment it finally stayed up.

Try not to disappoint the pvp crowd too much. Otherwise looks interesting.
Edit: monthly store additions, just what I wanted to hear. Here's to hoping whatever is introduced to do wih mounted combat is a good enough system to exist by itself outside of the store.

posting on a banned account. GET AT ME JESUS, WHAT NOW?!
Since I first read LotR many years ago, it was Rohan that I wanted to visit first - can't wait to see it brought to digital life (and sincerely hoping that the graphics team has a similar vision as I do).
I cant help but try to figure out the rest of the map tho, with The Hobbit coming this fall too, many are expecting a detour to northern Mirkwood, and we still have the Pelennor; I don't really see us reaching Minis Tirith for at least another 2 years.
I'm not sure about skirmish soldiers in the open world, mostly because several of them are pretty dumb - their AI needs a bit of work. I'm not sure if quests are meant to be duo'd by my character and the soldier, or if the soldier is there to help those who have trouble with landscape quests if the difficulty is set higher than what we saw with RoI. Guess we'll find out those details in due time.
Overall, the announcement brings a nice bit of excitement to a Wednesday morning.

The quote below is a very nice way of putting how a lot of PvMPers are feeling.

Yes or No.
Speaking honestly, give PvMPers concrete information now because this teasing is only P!ssing people off. The PvMP side of the game has been stagnant since implementation, nearly all devout players are gone, leaving or have lost all patience and refuse to believe any sort of "hope" is coming for PvMP; tease or not I can't speak for everyone, but I honestly do not believe anything significant is coming for PvMP.
Why you don't fix more bugs before you introduce a new addon? Especially your support for european players is... so first try to make something of that better for YOUR players.
Level 85, awesome. And at almost twice the size of Moria, I may actually buy it from the web store instead of using stockpiled TP!
Any new classes this time around?
A Warden that works?
New classes? The "IWin." Heavy armour, top-tier DPS, group and self heals.
But you have to spend 3000000 TP to get it.
Mounted combat yeah !? Em not really personally i rekon it will be #### but i hope turbine can prove me wrong . Also can we have a finished expansion this time .
Sapience any chance for new PVP region?or something anew about classes?both freeps and creeps

Replace the existing Ettenmoors area with a new Anfalas area, south of the White Mountains, where the scenario could involve the (lore-consistent) coastal raiding that is attempting to prevent the full strength of Gondor from being gathered.
Possible new creep class ideas: Corsairs, Black Numenoreans / the Dead (may be a stretch, but Erech is fairly close by) as a caster type class
I am not a PvPer myself, but that seems quite interesting, and would seem a lot less like going backwards to the Moors.
South Gondor or Harad could be a future area, when the PvE circus moves on towards Mordor.
Alternatively, something better of your own devising.

Serious question: If they did would you believe it? I wouldn’t blame Sapience he’s just putting out what he can and he should be commended for increasing interaction. That said, on the PvP side I wont believe it until I see it in game.
Fact is we have been told things before (mitigations have been fixed) and we know that it wasn’t true.

There is a thin line between paranoia and good instincts.
My judgement is reserved only for myself, and I believe I qualify for the latter.
If concrete information is given I will take it at face value, I don't have a hidden agenda... I want the game... the company... to thrive. However, as you have said, any given information does not detract from their horrible PvMP track record.
I do think Kelsen is doing his best, but at every turn (update) he keeps getting screwed over. There is only so much one dev can do with an enormous system to update/overhaul (6 classes, quests, pvmp objectives, balancing, new map?).
This spring we’ll take our first steps along the path as we add another new region to the game and allow players to explore the shores of the Great River (Free for VIPs!).
I purchased Isengard in the IngameShop for TP and I'm VIP.
Is it free for me, too?

We just did our January Update, Update 5.1, and Update 5.2 is coming and Update 6 after that. We're talking more about Update six because it has a new region that's free to VIPs.
