What helped me learn to heal was very intensive grouping, being thrown a little bit over my head, with a tank friend.
It helped me both learn to heal, and what to expect from my tank. We try to do similar things in our kins, I know, but I'm wondering if it would be of interest to do a focused kind of boot camp session to help new minis learn to heal.
We'd need both tanks and healers, as I envision this, and I'm not sure it will work.
If you're interested in trying to organize this sort of event with me, please let me know either here on the forums, or in game. My main on Gladden is LilyRose.
Re: Any interest in a Gladden Minstrel "Boot Camp"?

I can possibly help if you need it!
If you can get guards that would want to come i would be happy to help out with that!
(Also if you had interest in help Lore-master class(cuz ive noticed there lowering in number) i also have a 49 LM that i could help out w/)

I'm quite an expert at pulling aggro on my hunter. If You need to teach your group how to handle d-bag DPS classes that pull aggro off the guard and keep them alive, I volunteer.
Re: Any interest in a Gladden Minstrel "Boot Camp"?
Minis, in my experience, are better for spike healing, RKs more for heal over time-and that lovely rock they drop.
I'm not at endgame yet, but I'm comfortable healing with either my minstrel or my RK. They can both get the job done, they just approach it differently.

RKs have HoT's and can heal pretty well in "controled" instances. In a PvP zone, that involves spike DPS targeting, RK's just don't have the time to build HoT's fast enough on a fast dying target. All that's good are bubbles. Mins are far better healers for PvP, focusing heal targets for group and single targets. Plus mins have ton of survival skills to stay alive. RK's do not. So they die fast. This is all just in the PvP invironment though. PvE it all depends on the group build and how well you know the instance to make up for a mistake, etc.
PS> Captains make great healers too. I use to play one before RoI and was main (and most times only) healer for a lot of 3 man and 6 man instances. With good LI's and defeat responses they can carry the wait.

ok, thank you for clearing that up for me. Always wondered though your answer makes sence and I should have known from the start
I got a captain too, great healers, but when I saw one set to heal the tank for Draigoch's head I had very strong doubts that he'd be able to make it. btw he didnt.
