Big shout out to Slapfoot and Vorzag. The other day, Slapfoot 1v 1'd me with no attempt to pull me into NPCs and he also did not HIPS or sprint at the bitter end - a good, tough fight. And Vorzag watched without jumping in. A salute to you both!
No question wardens are strong right now when played well. It's long overdue that we go from a class that was considered "broken" to what we should have been all along - durable tanks who can also do some damage.
Although I must assert that the video you linked is not a typical situation that would happen on Nimrodel these days (I don't know what server this was from). The creeps seem much more interested in killing NPCs than the freep. He actually gets stunned about 10 seconds after the fight begins and sits through the whole stun without taking any damage - creeps are working on NPCs around him. They could have blown him up easily with focused fire.
It's also hard to miss that they don't move well. The wargs who make a few attempts at him at the beginning simply can't keep up when he moves. He moves away, they miss. He moves into them and hits- he controls the combat. The other creeps he engages simply allow him to control the distance and timing of the fight. I especially love the part where the creeps pull EC and STAB NPCs up to TA lawn and the warden goes into the ruins to fight a BA who stands there in one place trying to shoot while the warden is all over him.
It seems like a clear case of a good, experienced player jumping into a unorganized group of less experienced, lower ranked creeps who are not adept at combat movement and not smart enough to blow up the freep and then get back to their original goal of farming NPCs. I have never seen anything like this on Nimrodel - our creeps are much better and smarter players. Not to say wardens aren't strong, we are (minnies are not the only strong class in the Moors now). But if I or any other freep jumped into a group of creeps like this, we wouldn't last a minute. Our creeps are too good for that.

you need to pvp on other servers, unless there is a new group of creeps playing. there is a reason why most people have left nimrodel for other server. i never thought the pvp on nimrodel was anything to do except when extremely bored.

Or just find better forms of PvP which is just about any other game. I still enjoy Lotro PvP but Turbine has royally screwed over class balance out there. It's sad Lotro PvP could be very good if they ever thought to pay it any attention. Keep the 1v1 thread rolling I do get a few good ones every once and awhile.
I did the GW2 beta stress test last night and all I can say is......O.M.G!!! I only got to enjoy 20 minutes of WvWvW and it was better than anything in ToR since launch and better than anything thats happened in the moors for well over a year.

Can I just add that I have not seen any bugs thus far too. No lag, great graphics, intense balanced PvP.
No bugs? Everyone I talked to said they couldn't complete the first story instance below level 5. But I agree, I'm completely smitten with GW2.

I didn't have that problem at all. I did hear a couple of people had loading screen freezes. Nothing more then that though. It's such a hard to describe game in how it works and plays. I think everyone can enjoy it for what it's worth. The game is well thought out and nicely polished at this stage.

I agree 100%. I look forward to playing it. The bug was a norn one where you'd start to load the first instance and it wouldn't go past 95%. Litterally everyone in local channel said they had the problem too. But I digress. This looks like a company that will fix a bug like that with the next beta. The game's also gonna have a fairly large learning curve for me, something that I look forward to immensely.

You obviously didn't play/follow Aion. NCSoft is literally the world's worst company (worse than funcom) in basically every aspect, that's my major problem with GW2 TBH is knowing that the terribad team that was part of the Aion 3.0 scam is a part of this game. If you don't know anything about it, look it up >.>

I played Aion and NCSoft is my only concern, but this isn't a Korean grinder and I have confidence in ArenaNet. Incidentally, the same kind of things was said about EA's involvement in ToR and while ToR's PvP may be less than perfection, the PvE is quite close. And seriously, is NCSoft as bad as turbine? I think not. Aion was a terrible game, horrendous grind, not enough content to get to cap. GW does have a track record too and many are still playing the original.

Fun 1v1s for everyone who was out at GTA today. This was my first time for anything more than an impromptu 1v1 here and there so I apologize for some of the lopsided results, I'm still working on ways to keep things competitive and fun.
It was a few days before my BA transfer. A couple months before you transfered back here.

Nice fights against Ufda, Jaxlee (even though Yuoo jumped in and props for not running to the rezz :P), Bashburs, and Volo for all the 1v1s these past couple weeks
