Discussion: Orthanc Housing Items...

So far I don't know any. Has anyone seen one?

As far as I know, there are only 2 housing items. Bukot (ID 4) has some kind of a throne, and Saruman a model of Orthanc for a giant place at a kinship house. Bukot hasn't been killed by much raids yet, and Saruman only with bug using. Don't think that anyone got one of these trophies, otherwise there would be a thread I guess.

The taxidermist in Bree accepts 3 new barter items from Orthanc, exchanging them for 3 new housing trophies: Saruman's Orrery, Saruman's Rings and Throne of Isengard.

Model of Orthanc is awarded upon completion of deed, all challenge modes if I remember correctly.

Second raid where deed gives characters a yard item that only fits in kin house yards. /boggle

There is 4 housing items.

One from Fire and Frost T2 challenge (the big spinny shiny model on the roof)

One from Shadow - Throne

Then one from Saruman - which I don't know what it is

Then one for completing all challenges

Saruman's Orerry is a ceiling item that is a smaller version of the one inside orthanc, the one with lighted globes that slowly spins.

I think this is the one many, many people are after. The one in the raid looks really awesome.

I google every 2nd day for these items, but nowhere are pictures / videos.. =/

If they're anything like OD housing items, then they only drop on T2 and even then are pretty rare drops - on par with the Unwelcome Mat.

I still can't find pictures of several OD items too.

OD doesn't have much:
- Picture featuring both Ivar's Pike and Helm and Memorial of the Gaunt-lords
- Video of Red Potted Huorn. (And picture of the white one too.)
- and the music box from DB, which is just a soundtrack, so nothing to see.

And those are all.

OD=Outdoor decoration?

How about the droprate from the two draigoch-items? Also rare oder often?

Is there a music file form the music box of durins bane?

OD = Ost Dunhoth.

Since Dar Narbugud came out, instance dropped housing items from new instances have all been rare. Instance bosses released prior to that have always or nearly always dropped their trophy (watcher, turtle head, thaurlach's blade, mordirith's mirror, etc.) Helegrod, GB, and sch/lib are special cases due to being converted to scaled instances.

Personal experience: Nearly 2 years of running DN weekly, zero mistress eggs, 2-3 BO heads. 6 months of clearing BG - 1 unwelcome mat. 6 months of OD, 2 of each potted huorn (didn't beat DB t2 though, or try to do the Ivar metadeed). 4 months of draigoch, 2 fireplaces (second one this week,) 0 of the big trophy.

Please clarify, are those the ones you won, or the ones you have seen drop? Because of second one, then it's truly horrifying. Plus I saw a Unwelcome Mat drop on the first LT kill and also saw a lot of Draigoch items sold (they aren't bound for some reason).

It's not horrifying - it's normal - our Loot was the same (but we got one Egg from the Mistress ^^) - it was real luck that we got the DB-Music on our Firstkill

The drop rates on the trophies was low in DN and has been horribly low ever since (BG, OD, Orthanc). Personally I bitterly regret this decison by Turbine, which strikes me as mean-spirited and petty.

I've never seen the Mistress Egg drop once. Ever. I have 5 white goats across 5 characters.

Draigoch's trophies seem a bit more generous. We've received the fireplace and statue quite a few times already, but maybe that's because we run the raid multiple times a week. (As opposed to once a week with the older tougher raids.)

seen drop. I personally won a BO head and 1 of each Huorn.

Been doing Draigoch a few times weekly since release, and last night was the first time I saw the statue drop.

As for Orthanc, haven't seen any housing items there yet but am guessing they are just as rare as the Unwelcome Mat and Nanu's Hiding place.

Nothin to say, the lootrate ist great as it is. Finnaly there are items since Barad Guldur which are really really rare. In my opinion some jewels should be as are also, just with a little better stats. Anyway, housing items are damn rare and noone really needs them to advance in the game. So, it's fine!

This decision is something that keeps me going into those instances!

Are there any new drop-news with some pictures from the housing items?

The Throne of Isengard is quite nice, however it does not sit too well, it should be the same as Draigoch's fireplace and sit on the floor!

Gratz for getting this trophy, though imho it is ridiculous that it ain't a floor item; hoped that it would be something where you can sit on. Looks weird on the wall.

Nice, thanks for sharing, but sitting on this? Its even to small for a mixture between rat und hobbit

So we can't put a chair next to a table, but we can hang a throne on the wall? I hate the hook system.

if the decorations follow the pattern from previous raids then they'll be challenge only drops- and so far noone has completed fire/frost challenge or saruman challenge, or they're keeping it very quiet.

It's CM only, as it is with most of these housing items at least since CMs were introduced.

Agreed, especially since many of these instances are no longer end game.

I've killed the Turtle 50 something times and never seen the baby Turtle drop.

There is zero reason it should be this rare.

All old instances should be move dup to at least a 50% drop rate.
