Re: Maligning of warg packs a little too extreme

I just read through all this, and thought I'd give my viewpoint. As far as I am concerned, Warg Packs are VERY different from what most Freeps apparently think of us, the average pack is usually not made for the sole purposes of getting gank-age outside of Rezzes and GV, most of the Packs are created when the main raid fills up and we feel that splitting off would give other classes more spots, and the Raid Leaders/Pack Leaders more opportunity to coordinate. VERY rarely will a full sized pack just meander off and sit somewhere with the specific purposes of either ganking solos, camping, or otherwise not being very useful. Now, with that being said, I have received several complaints about killing the same person over and over again, but I will assure you, unless you are a Kinny, Vinny, aren't Rez camping/ganking, and happen to have a pocket full of treats, we aren't specifically hunting you down, and if we ever do seem to be doing so, most likely it is because we just happen to run into you. Anyways that is my 2 cents on our supposed "cheap, cheaty, dirty tactics." Oh, and even though it may not seem so, we die..... ALOT - Wallet

well condsidering how hard it is to solo as a warg you kinda have to pack up. champs huge crits , minis full self healing, heck even hunters are tougher and forget soloing guards/ wardens. add in store items being used on a wide scale now days wargs must group up..heck i miss preisen when i would solo all day now days i let most freeps ride bye// thank turbine. ps warg packing on sunday was fun PEEBAA r8 ps to squid the mini REALY do you need store trackers to find creeps to solo heh.

Honestly, I think a some of our wargs have a lot to learn. Solo or pack, paying attention to what's going on and using some common sense would result in a lot fewer singed tails.

Arctic, there are few people who PvP to test their skill, beyond that people just want to socialize, and on occasion, win.

Remember the Social Raid Experiments with Didn't, Luc, and a few others? They didn't work out

I suppose dying together can be a fun way to socialize, but that still doesn't seem like a very good reason to lose half a dozen wargs to a two or three freeps when it could easily be avoided.

Re: Maligning of warg packs a little too extreme

Ages back we put out the idea of Warg college, where new pups would group up and learn tricks from some of our more experienced Wargies. Nothing much came of it, but now we have lots more new pups, it may be worth revisiting.

Packing up is fun, but Arcticey is right, we should have a firm understanding of the basics.

Ok - let's see if we can get Arcticey and Tailey to spare a few mins to show us how it's done.

Pouncey can tutor us in Perfect Pouncing, and I will be holding classes in Being Fluffy And Nomming Face.

    Just FYI:

I know how annoying greybar skills are... they arent for freeps only. All I have to say is: STUPID BURG! ARRRGGGHHHH
The burglars are just as annoying as stalkers, and their equivalent of the warg pack is the spam stundust XD

.However I would not remove grey bar skills because as a warg, I know it is an integral part of their gameplay style and fellowship merit.

So what if some people abuse that? EVERYTHING in a game like this that is worth using can be used (ARRRGGH BUBBLES! ARRGHHH ROOTS! etc. lol)

But that's just my opinion... anyone else who reads this might have different ideas.

In closing: A good warg pack might not need it, but solo wargs most DEFINITELY DO unless they have super man strength capabilities. If you're a noob like me we would all get pwned hopelessly without are grey bar skills.

I took WP Avoidance 101. Good course. I can summarize it into the following: Come out of stealth after the wargs do.

I can run the Burg-Killing 101 class, but I feel it would not be in my best interest.

You all just want to learn my flying Pounce. (patent pending)

I would look to Arctic and Tail for warg lessons for the pups. All I can teach them is where to find Budhorn, when to pounce Budhorn, and when it is best to leave Budhorn where he is.
