Looks like armour and mits are back on the menu boys :)
From patch 5.1 notes
Monster Play
Fixed a bug caused by adjustments to the Creep Armor values. Creep armor has been increased and mitigations are now returned to their original values. (NOTE- you will see +/-1% due to rounding).
Re: Looks like armour and mits are back on the menu boys :)
[...]Minstrel
Damage on the Minstrel Codas has been returned near pre-U5 levels. The animation change resulted in a greater portion of the damage being removed than was intended. [...]
Wayne mits, if we will get 7k+ hits again from every EZmode mini out there
Re: Looks like armour and mits are back on the menu boys :)
before RoI: Freeps = Creeps
After RoI: geared Freeps > Creeps
After the next update: Freeps >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Creeps
After this last update: Freeps >>>>>> Creeps
Re: Looks like armour and mits are back on the menu boys :)
Fixing what they broke wont be enough to save PvP at this point, this is a classic case of to little to late. Moors are dying, lot of high level freeps running around slaughtering everything. Not really entertaining at all, very unbalanced and not worth the effort.
This might bring some vets back for a week or so, which will be a good thing so yay for that.

Way to go.

Why celebrate that mitigations are fixed? It's still hugely imbalanced and pay2win.

Nice to know I'm not imagining things. My warg's mits, at least according to the character panel, are slightly worse than before. Still need to test myself out against some freeps, but... Lol.

In retrospect, I think they're really going to regret putting that fix in the patch-notes.

Nope. Pooped on across the board again.
There are a few choice obscenities I'd like to share with the devs about now.

Oh! That reminds me, better go get a screenshot of it before that section gets removed.

Ever wonder why Minis hit so hard?
The funny part is that on freepside, the OPPOSITE happened with the consolidation of mitigations into the tactical/physical. Where as before, even a heavy would have to work to get a decent acid mitigation now every freep seems to rock at least 30%, most are more in the 45-55% range.
Would certainly be a good thing for the moors if our mits were taken in this direction.

Fixed. When I see = it means very balanced, that was not the case before RoI.

They are getting paid to create a PvE game. The PvP side is much like an addon and not a serious component of the product (at least as far as I can tell). It’s a nice addition for your freep toons when you’re tired of grinding LI’s or running instances over and over and over and over….
Creeps need to accept that the moors and the creepside aren’t going to get serious attention. Fixing something that was broken (or attempting too) shouldn’t be regarded as a bonus or an added feature, nor should it be celebrated. The key point is are you willing to continue to PvP in lotro knowing that as a creep you won’t be a priority? This is an important question we all have to ask ourselves and the answer you choose will greatly relieve the unhappiness because it will be an acceptance of reality.
I’m going to continue playing my Warg from time to time, when the farming starts I log, likely won’t renew my VIP when it expires and will strongly urge others who enjoy the PvP to do the same. This is a PvE game primarily, time to accept that and move on accordingly.

They were too busy making fireworks tradeable and buffing mini's to actually fix a creep bug.
They actually fixed mini’s and it was a good fix. We all know the score in the moors, anyone who has spent time there on either side can’t honestly say it’s a balanced field. The answer isn’t nerfing freeps for the moors as that will likely never happen (it’s a PvE game). The best answer going forward is to make battlefield promotions have increased bonus’s for creeps that cannot be purchased in the store.
The mini fix will make them more powerful sure, but it was a feature that was broken. I’d rather have everyone made whole then we balance from there.

Every minstrel I've talked to now finds PVE to be boring and the class to be designed to be properly played by bonobo chimps... but that's a topic for another thread.

regardless of what they think personally, I would find it odd if someone were to dispute that Lotro is a PvE game primarily and the Mini fix was in the spirit of that application. To think that something was or wasnt done with PvP as the primary motivator isnt a logical position to take.

Yes i know what the game had been set out as a PVE game but when they appoint a Dev to this section of the game(the name gives it away Development)It means they are looking to expand on entertainment and the custom of players.
My point is don't say something is fixed when it is not...= a disappointed customer
I don't expect to be on par with freeps but really a fighting chance wouldn't go a miss

Understood but your expectations arent based on historic reality. Have a look at the ROI pre and post threads, turbine often promises things they dont deliver. To assume that has changed is not a wise course. I understand people are let down but there does come a time when one has to acknowledge reality and the reality appears to be PvP isnt very important.
This thread is good evidence of that, and in the future we can evidence it for historic precedent and reference.

With the free to play introduction, you have to unlock creep classes to play them. There are things to buy in the store (consumables, skills, traits). So people actually pay money to play creepside.
Now explain me, why should I, as a paying customer, be ignored by the devs?

Because you have been ignored for months if not years and are continuing to pay. Dont shoot the messenger here my warg is dying quickly out there, I get it but ignoring historic realities dosent make the argument in the present stronger.
