Hey! I was correct on this. Why did I get -rep? There's no cursing or anything said negatively in my post. Can I get a moderator to check it out please?
Edit: Thank you.
Once you start showing certain individuals which side of the line your on, they cant wait to get at you, and neg rep ya no matter what ya say. Been there, done that. But lately with developments as of late, some of them are beginning to come to the dark side.
Just the sign of things soon to come me thinks.

For all the doomsayers, the armour being offered is low-level stuff which would be obsolete within days (or even hours, depending on the player). Casualstroll has the info on that.
My question is regarding relics: will the sub-Remarkable Runes of Power have the tactical mastery restored to them with this patch?

This is a good thing, is it? It's low-level stuff now-- so when the low-level stuff is outgrown, there'll soon enough be next-level gear to buy in the store. I don't believe they'll stop with just this offering.
To many people, free will is a license to rebel not against what is unjust or hard in life but against what is best for them and true.

That is exactly why. Plus, it cuts out low level crafters.

im fine with gear in the store, as long as it reains for cosmetical purposes, and second class... once it gets more adorable than current raid gear, we shoud all question that fact a bit more...

First off, the gear isn't "for cosmetical purposes, and second class". It's the highest stats available on gear of its level (20ish). Available in the store. For real money.
And secondly, by the time this comes around-- "once it gets more adorable than current raid gear, we shoud all question that fact a bit more...", it'll be way too late to turn around. Comments, direct, to-the-point, LOUD comments need to be made before the wall is hit.

If Tuirbine has no intention of releasing higher tiers of hear, then we are in agreement with Turbine, and our complaints have no more merit than "the sky is falling".
If Turbine does intend to make higher level gear available, they need to hear our voices NOW, so that they can stop their plans before too many leave the game.
But if we all sit down, shut up, and sing kumbaya until the raid gear gets here, Turbine will take silence as acceptance, and keep releasing new tiers of gear. And when it does get to the point that raid gear goes into the store, how many store items have you seen removed due to player feedback?
If you want to keep you fingers in your ears until it's too late, go right ahead, but I'm going to continue complaining while we still have a chance.

well aye, im just after findin the *11pages-of-complainin-thread* in the other section...
if it stays among the low levels, fair play, fair enough... the word if can b seen as scary tho...
the basics behind a mmo are always the same, stand ingame challenges, with others, to get the best equipment as rewards... once pullin me credit card becomes the challenge, i fear, i wont stand it... so it is... i hope they do know bout that... after readin the other thread, theres no: *yay finally armours in the store* response...
edit: ive always tried to see the shop as kinda need for the greater good... to get the cash from folks that re into masses of steeds, cosmetics an such... cash needed to provide quality raids an innovation...

If that armor is so innocent, why not announce its introduction together with the patch? Are the stats on that armor not something to be announced in a grand way, or at least mentioned in Turbine posts in this thread?
Instead, existing players who do not place enough low-level crafted armor in the AH are the reason for this addition to the store. so we can read here http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...e-armors/page2 post 22.
And will there be things that will disappear from the game, that make it more likely that new players buy gear in the store?
The price is not innocent for sure. Neither are the stats offered. Go try find that in game on crafted or looted stuff.
And why oh why do we always have to rely on third party sites for insight into certain topics which on these forums so 'conveniently' are kept out of sight?

A) They aren't announcing much of anything in a single place just yet. They're dropping hints all over the place, but there isn't a single set of patch notes just yet. And several of the posts given say "wait until the patch notes for full details".
B) What's added to the store usually gets minor play in the patch notes, while the store announcement pages go into more detail. Because that's kinda what the pages are for.
In the other thread, Sapience said they have a max level in the lower 20s. CSTM says 20-ish, but that might be just a rewording of Sapience's post. The store page you linked to has no level details at all.
I don't think that they can be said to give "full details" when omitting such an important aspect of the armor.

Re: "Update" on the 17th?
Store updates aren't mentioned in patch notes (as usual). So that's why the store team sends out notices of 'coming soon'.
Just like this thread is a discussion of the update, and the other thread is a discussion of the store items. If we're done discussing the update/fixes and only wish to discuss the store items, we can close this thread and re-direct comments to the store items thread.

Will there be a fix to the Gravenwood quests i.e. Silent Riders' quest chain?

A. They never have been good in communicating. Some excuse that, others don't. This is a multi-million dollar game, and the makers would not know how to run their PR? Somehow I am not buying that. It's convenient for them to continue to separate information about issues which will impact the game, thus the announcement for the patch only mentions the patch, and players find out about store changes only because they find an e-mail or because they browse a little bit more on the forums.
This 'division' of information is not an accident. There is always a nice explanation when people mention this, but it makes people wary of the catch. In this case, the catch is armour in the store. And I doubt that armour will make it to the patch notes.
B. Nah, see A. They could announce store and game changes in one big announcement.
C. The post I quoted was not refering to that information, but to a third party site. I found out because someone here mentioned an e-mail, I did not find the information easily on the forums myself.

I have a question
Does the game have to be updated when something new hits the store?
With other words, does the patch include both fixes and the 'new' store items?
If so, do the store team and the patch team time those patches?
Just came back to say "I told you so" to all those people who said I was wrong way back when.
Hope everyone is still having fun and can find happiness with that. As for me, no regrets in my choices.
Funny thing is, those who you told way back then did not care then, nor do they care now. The only difference being that many of them continue to play and enjoy the game, while sadly, you are still irked by a game you no longer play. Very sad, really.
Funny thing is, those who you told way back then did not care then, nor do they care now.
I think you're someway off the mark here. The store feedback thread shows this has made a lot of people see things in a very different light. Even many who have been previously been very supportive. And if people really don't care now, when are they going to care?
If people really don't care as you say, then it is a total free for all for Turbine and the store, and soon Gold, medallions, end game armour and just about everything else will be in there. Turbine have already proved they will go back on what they've said. So why should the store additions suddenly stop at stat armour? We all know now they're going to take this to the limits of what they think they can get away with, and possibly further. Justifying their actions only encourages them to push things one notch further into asian mmo scummery.
The soul of the game has been sold through the store, little by little. Soon there will be no soul left to sell. Then what?

We need to give Turbine and the devs credit here - they are addressing a lot of player concerns (lootboxes anyone?) and fixing things that player have been asking to be fixed (dragoich raid, movement assistance). Seriously, it looks like they have been working hard and listening to player's concerns and feedback on the forums. Without knowing the exact changes, we still need to appreciate the effort here.

Thank you very much.
Cannot agree more. All these fixes are very welcome, and a quick response to the issues is very much appreciated.
