Thread: Events in Riddermark

I know they're there, but there's no announcement threads!

If people started posting raid days and house parties and concert festivals on the forums, I'm pretty sure we could get a lot more out of the LotRO experience ^^ just a thought.

I'm really into the roleplaying and celebration aspects of this game, and I'm sure there are others as well. Who's in?

Stormstar and myself often make up events and do random roleplaying with a few others, so we'll be sure to try and post here when we do so!

Whoever would like to participate in events (roleplay or otherwise) please post your IGN(s) and your primary mailing character, as well as a (RP) if you're into that. Also let me know if your house/kinhouse/shed is available for roleplay or houseparty events.

Tentatively, a roleplay event sometime this weekend, time permitting.

Ideas include:

* A midnight "raid" on Mirkwood's eaves, and storming the woods until we safely make camp at Ost Galadh (for our higher levels).

* A party in the Shire. If we could use someone's house for this, that'd be dandy... otherwise, we could just do a pub crawl!

* Camping out on Weathertop, available for all 10+. I'll provide the beer and rations, and we could tell stories and have a music contest for Best Solo and Best Organized Band.

Any other suggestions? Mail Tinuthel or Eoren for suggestions or details!

Right now, I'm working on getting as many people as possible involved.

A lot of people complain about lack of content in this game... but this game's content isn't all in raiding and PvMP. The game is situated on a treasure pile of deep lore and creative opportunity, a resource that allows us to become one with the story itself. To live through the eyes and actions of a character in the actual story is what LotRO, to me, is really about... writing stories, making ourselves part of this lore, and having fun doing it are what make this game most valuable to me.

If you know people who are interested, tell them about this. Ask them to mail me for details; I'm the kind of fool that will sit there and answer mail after mail, if it's for the chance of doing something really fun and unique... an opportunity to live through my favorite story and make some new friends on my favorite game.

By the way, this thread is always open to comments, questions, suggestions, or angry mobs. Feel free to plan or announce your own events so the entire server has a chance to hear about it!

We have a website capable of emailing everybody in a kin when we do a raid or a skirm... This can let large amounts of players know when there is an event happening.

Check out the site. At the moment we have quite a few level 60-70 members. Looking to add a few more and get these events up and going.

See, a lot of the problem is that people tell me they're available but never really show up (not necessarily on the forum, but that too).
