It's worth what someone will pay for it. If someone wants to start a serious kinship, it may well be worth their fake money to get an established name and a kin house, rather than wait 3 months.
Work like no one is watching, dance like you don't need the money...
If you think so that is your opinion but lets be honest here.
If you where the main leader of a Kin that was established and well know and had a ton of players would you sell the kin in open market or hand it down to one of your oficers odds are a kin being sold this way are none of these things.
I know as a player if the leader of any kin I was in sold it to a random player it would be time for me to find a new home and any player who has a clue would want to do the same thing Kins are like family. So plain and simple this kin is worth about what i stated it is worth and i will keep the 1000s of imaginery gold I have and buy from someone with a clue

I think I'll agree with both takes. Yes, it is worth what someone will pay for it. Is that 250 gold? I doubt it. But hey, if someone wants to pay it, more power to them.
Really the only benefit of rank to a kin is the house. There are a ton of older orphaned kins. If they were really worth a lot, I'd have thought we'd see more of this.
Or you'd get a lot more F2P accounts starting kins for the sole purpose of waiting, then selling. *shrug*
