Thread: Is it now a Pve zone only????

The moors are going down hill with all the pve going on for both sides, between the new freeps flipping the map in the mornings to the creeps ninja's in the afternoon thats all that goes on anymore i wish it could be changed to....

1. 1 keep Ta and fight over it

2. keep grams/Gv/Dg/Ost

3. give both sides one Rez circle one on each side of the map

4. give us hot spots back

5. Move EC away from Sb

6. Move OC away from lugz rez

7. Make both sides npcs in Oc and Ec stop and reset at the door so that cant be dragged out

8. get rid of anything store bought in the moors period pots,brands,speed running in combat etc...

9. give creeps something to ride and freeps maps just like creeps have or get rid of both either way would be fine

and lastly get rid of renown/infamy for turning in any quest thats just plan stupid.


It gets old riding around checking keeps to get a fight so get rid all that #### and make it more fun out there.

Agreed, get rid of the damn keeps NPCs. Its fun to move the fight but alot of times those running around taking keeps bail (if they are able to) when they get caught rather than fight.

Though I would like to see random rez locations so it would be tough for people to get a locale on where people end up.

Nerf Freeps or Buff Creeps... sorry but PvE is the only thing left to do in the Moors for Creeps really (especially here on Meneldor where the amount of remaining Vet Creeps can be counted on one hand and the majority of time Creeps are outpopulated by the Godmode Freeps).

What I speak of is reality... what you speak of is fiction. Maybe if you spent more time reading all the LoTRO sub-forums rather than conjecturing in ours you'd realize there's a player exit occurring and so reality bites.

Why should turbine devote just to monster? why not both sides? your tunnel vision get the best of you sometimes when i can see arguments from both sides like Reavers needing some love.

Your argument is oneside with one objective and its more then fixing some classes that will make pvp better like remove store bought stuff(which will never happen)

Do you not agree with to many keeps and to many npcs?

Its the entire ball of wax that needs fixed not just your personal needs to a single objective.

No, there's already enough unused space in the moors and you want to remove 2 keeps and replace them with what? More unused space?

No, you despise the pve aspect yet want to add more incentive to hide behind NPCs? I think not.

Both could use some NPC reduction on the inside, replace them with highered tiered NPCs. Placement of these camps are not a major issue.

These aren't keeps, they're outposts, they should be treated like a tyrant room. What I would like to see instead is the resetting of ALL NPCS if they exit out their respective keeps or drastically reduce their agro distance.

Creeps have maps + 25% march / 35% WL bufff, Freeps have constant +62%/68% depending on mount. You act like all creeps use their maps effectively and critically, they do not.

I 100% disagree, giving infamy for quests is the best thing Turbine has done for the creeps. There's finally a major incentive to quest and gain rank. You're telling me that you want r0 creeps to come out and fight veteran freeps that know pvp like the back of their hand? I think not. Maybe if r0 actually had a chance, they do not. You need a minimum of r6 IMO to be somewhat competitive with our freep contemprories. The influx of new freeps is nothing compared to the influx of noob creeps.

The real reason why PvP is so horrible in this game is that there lacks one simple concept: consistency. Here's what I've seen, creep veterans are shrinking in size and replaced with incompetent low level creeps that are either meneldor freeps (~60% of the time) or server-relatives (~40% of the time). These new creeps can't compete period, they are squirrels hunting lions. The incentives for the freep flippers couldn't be higher, retake your keeps for 2k DP + just reflip back on your freep to retake the keep for PvP armor/gear. No one gives a sh!t anymore, even the crowns/bee hive at ost/dg isn't cared for anymore. The worst pvp change turbine did was removing the 2 hr lockout from creep if you pvped on your freep. That was the ONLY barrier to deter flippers which ruins the essence of pvp.

I don't blame the flippers though, the game itself is conducive for this kind of behavior but it ruins pvp. A simple fix would be this: A 24 hr. lockout from creeping if you LEAVE GV on your freep---I understand some freeps would like to scope out the items/gear or whatever from GV which is fine. However this would set the stage for true pvp, I want to creep with creeps not freeps who decided to flip.

Notice I'm not mentioning the wildly disproportionate DPS output freeps have compared to creeps? Nor am I mentioning anything about the CC, lack of creep mitigation, or anything related to those issues? It's because it's quiet frankly a common sense topic and I'd hope the players of this game recognize how insane it is to even debate who is in the right/wrong.

4. Yes flipping keeps for freep gear is B.S. and garbage i couldnt agree more


Bottom line is alot of stuff has made the moors what it is today from the balance shifting back and forth, to certain classes on BOTH sides being OP of the OP's, to the biggest problem of store bought ####,pots,brands,skills etc....seriously i mean what does rank mean anymore??? Its sad to say it means more to freeps then creeps because of the armour.

1. Elmo, wake up and realize that this isn't just a game. Mario 64 is a game, tetris is a game, mmorpgs are cut from their own cloth because you simply cannot beat them. There is no end to the perpetual grinding of deeds, ranking of creeps, leveling of new toons. From the obvious of course it's a computer game but the difference is Elmo, if tomorrow your account was hacked and everything you ever worked for was deleted. Would there be any desire to do everything all over again? You wanna pvp starting at r0 to r12 all over again? You don't spend 6+ months on a character, 6 months * ~30 Days * 24 hrs = 4320 hours, still not beat whatever your doing, and call that just a game---it's a lifestyle.

3. This is what frusterates me most and maybe veterans creeps might agree---no matter how much time you've spend ranking your creep and mastering pvp techniques, every major patch disproportionatly increases freep stats vs. creep stats which underminds everything you've done for your creep. So it's understandable that the vets. don't even want to play their creeps, what's the point really? Extending to you're latter point, battlefield promotions are a great idea but implemented poorly, you're telling me from r9 to r10 a measly increase of +1% is merited? This is grossly disproportionate to the amount of time and effort creeps have to give from that rank increase. I can't even imagine the raw % increase a freep would get in the time leveling him/herself up spending the amount of time it would take from r9 to r10.

I'm still not sure how I feel about purchased skills creep side, it seems to diminish the value rank I agree with you there. I personally haven't bought any skills via. TP, but it has crossed my mind. With the trend of patching, I have a feeling that eventually, maybe in a year or so, ranking a creep to r15 would be the time equivilent of leveling a L75(or w/e the level cap is then).

1. I pvp for fun period and rank is a bonus so yeah i would start over because rank is secondary to fun.

2. You forgot i played creep for a while and ranked both my Ba and Spider to 10 so i do no the difference in creep dps vs freep dps but i also know what my spider can still do solo and i can still kill alot and my Ba is a joke anyone could play one and win.

3. Rank creepside is meanless because those who earn their rank/skills/skin etc. deserve more then to get a slap in the face and giving pretty much everything to anyone who has money to spend.

4. Is creepside Underpowered? Yes , is it entire turbines fault ?NO because some of it has to do with learning how to play your class and yeah some people will never be great at it but more could be pretty solid if they put the time in and stopped complaining about what they dont have.

5. BTW every Patch didnt ignore creeps alot of them have had their time in the sun(cough Ba's) but yeah i couldnt argue that freeps have had more improvement then creeps but it is what it is ive been wanting my Lm book fixed for 2 yrs and its still not fixed and id love some no induction skills but guess what it isnt going to happen and im still going to play the game.


Oh and saying creeps cant win explain how a bunch of creeps came to this server as a tribe and ran across the map and fought everything in sight and wiped alot of freeps......It can be done,it has been done, it could be done again.

True that, Tock. I finally earned Shadow Howler last night (in the midst of some pretty awful PvP). Then I had a bunch of new warg players explain to me some of the intricacies of using it. Sigh. Curse you Turbine Store. I will never spend money on PvMP in this game until it's fixed. Which means Never.
