Documenting this Momentous Occasion!
(not that it wasn't done before on another server or anything~ but I ought to post something along with the screenshots to elaborate on this! lol)
...Oh no! I'm forgetting one Chicken ;A; I'm so sorry who am I forgetting?
THE GUARDS:
Hfonsdalh, Fairlillie, Maddonious, Andrasdae
*(Later guards were made of Tweedle...? Feesh, Jaym, Fellonix, Iylil)
December 28th, 2011!
Starting location: Sandson's Farm, North of Michel Delving
Task: Invade Bree and Galtrev as Chickens from the Session Play quests available on Sandson's Farm!
Prologue: Hfonsdalh, Tweedledumm, and Iylil of CCotS agree that it is most necessary that a large flock of Chickens are to be gathered. At the very least, the nature of their task of utmost importance? Invade Bree! (And later, seeing as it is also quite the capital gathering place for the innocent players found naught but idly dwelling, Galtrev!)
Step One: Gather at Michel Delving!
Step Two: Harass kinmates! Harass friends to join!
Step Three: Assemble rough plan. These chickens shalt see themselves guarded throughout this perilous journey!
Step Four: Harass GLFF incessantly for about an hour. Invite players to raid so as to accumulate everyone at the location of the Chicken Session Quests. (Make as to be sure that all may access a Chicken quest session of at least 1 hour's time as a Chicken... This later would prove to be fatal and 2 Hours is most favourable for the longer stretch of the journey!)
Step Five: Do a bunch of disorganized organizing. Everyone is caught up to Chicken Session Quests and knows the plan; we will need guards and chickens for this trek! There are approximately 14 players agreed to participate in this shenanniganery!
*figure out means to talk to one another as chickens and guardplayers
*create chat in chicken session to be able to speak
*raidcall group allowed for communication between chickens and guards
*make sure everyone is prepared and no one is lagging behind :3
Step Six: Set off! This is the Fellowship of the Chickens goshdamnit! We WILL see this through!
*our guard members run half in front and half behind the chicken cluster; chickens are sure to stick to roads while players clear any trouble
*those of chicken brethren whom of which befalls the sad fell fate of being nommed will spawn as their characters again and join the group as guards!
*check points are set up to count the chicken heads!
Goal One: Storm through Bree!
Goal Two: Reach Galtrev!
The outcome:
Sadly, we lost our dear sweet Tweedledumm before we had reached the Brandywine Bridge! He shall be dearly missed ;A; (and uhh I think he came back as a guard?)
Next to go was the ever valiant ...wait we lost three.... Fellonix was in there... Feesh? then after those three we made it all the way to Eregion before the next three of us were timed out from the 1hour quests!
The survivors were Caladen, Fenror, Lynnia, and Sapphirea!
Okay now I stop yammering and post the screenies...
TL;DR - Ten Chickens and Four Players to Guard trekked all the way to Bree at first! We stormed Galtrev warily afterwards! 1 Chicken was lost to Auto-running into a Wolf in the Shire, 2 more were lost on the road to Bree! 3 were inevitably unable to finish due to quest time-out on session play! However, 4 of the Ten made it to Galtrev!
.......if that was TL;DR STILL.....
14 players total;
10 chickens
4 guards
7 chickens reached bree
4 chickens reached galtrev

I would change my username if I could; "Cirwen" was my first LotRO charname, remade since then.
Nice job! I've thought of arranging a multi-chicken run like this one day, but I usually go for spontaneous solo runs (I like the hectic feel of having to watch out for everything).
I flew the coup once on Brandywine (years ago) and ran to Buckland thinking I'd make a run through the Old Forest to Tom's House but when I got to the wall gate, I laid an egg and chickened out.
