Thread: Ramble On a End Game Raiding Kin

My name is Quantar and I am the founder of Ramble On, an End Game LOTRO Raiding Kinship with a Core Group of players that have been raiding together for over two years now. We started together in Dar Narbugud, made it through BG and have always believed that we are only has good as the people we raid with. We do not yell or tell you what to do, but we do ask and we do help you get what you need to be raid ready.

On June 30th 2012 Ramble On got the Saruman Title for doing a Full OT T2CM Clear in one night making us the 6th kin in the world and 3rd in NA.

Who are we going to be?

We will be an end game raiding kinship with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. This means that first and foremost we are here to have fun. I am not the leader of this kin, just the founder. I am not here to baby-sit people. If you are into drama, this kin is not for you. We are adults, we like to have fun, and sometimes things can get border line, but respect everyone in this kin and their feelings. If you can not speak to another person one on one about something, this kin is not for you.

What sort of activity will we maintain?

We raid at least 2 nights a week. But even more when new Raids come out.

Right now we looking for people who can Raid either Thursday, Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday Nights at around 8:30pm Server Time. This means that you are expected to make two of these nights on a consistent basis and be able to give us NO MORE than 3 hours.

We do have a time limit in this kin and if we can not get it done in that time, we just come back to it another day. If something comes up, that's fine, you are not bound to one day or the other. But we do not want to run into a situation where you miss three straight weeks. In order to reach our goal, we must learn to raid together as one.

Other Details

Outside of the one raid per week requirement mentioned above, the only other requirement to raid with us is that you must be raid ready. This means that you must have appropriate traits and gear to help us be as successful as possible. If there is a weapon or book or what ever you feel or we feel you need for us to be successful, we will get it for you. This kin is not going to be about me me me, its going to be about us us us. If you are about me me me, than this kin is not for you.

Updated APRIL 2, 2012: I am STILL looking to add a raid ready Guard. Also now willing to look at a raid ready RK. We are now running OT twice a week and looking to fill these spots. This week we were able to do
3 Lighting T2CM, 2 Acid T2CM. 2 Fire and Frost T2 and 1 Shadow T2CM for 11 First Agers this week.

Updated APRIL 7th, 2012: Our Guard spot has now been filled, but still willing to look at a raid ready RK. We are now running OT twice a week and looking to fill these spots.

Hello, I'm Ayleth from Dwarrowdelf and I heard about this kin from a member of our kinship Reforged who is thinking to transfer her characters on this server to join your kinship. Our kin lost their 2 main best tanks and since then, it is pretty much going downhill on the activity side.

About myself and achievements:
I'm 22 years old and I play a captain since LotRO became F2P and I am experimented with raiding. I am VIP, though, I don't really like the Ettenmoors, I mainly do it for armor pieces bonus stats. On level 75, we finished Acid, Lightning and Shadow wings on t2c, done Fire and Frost t2, but didn't manage Saruman other than t1. On level 85, we did Barad Guldur t2c with maybe 2-5 wipes.

Skill side:
I cure debuffs pretty much all the time, I get out of puddles/damaging areas pretty quickly (0-2s reaction time), I try to position myself out of mobs damage and behind, in range of AoE if possible. I revive and rebuff as soon as possible (2:30 cooldown). I keep the skills that improve group's buffs pretty much always up (Strength of will, To arms, War cry, telling/revealing marks, banner).

Computer/internet side:
I have a pretty decent computer: Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @3.4GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 680 graphics card. 20.1MB download, 2.1 upload speed. I have barely any lag, except when it is a server issue. I don't get disconnected at random times.

Gear/trait side:
I have all virtues 16+, of course all race/class/legendary traits. I have all 5 stats tome VIII. I have all 2nd age LIs fully empowered/crystaled: halberd for single target DPS, halberd for AoE, tanking 1-handed sword, emblem with all heal legacies and buffs LIs. I have pretty much all might jewels and tanking jewels although I'm pretty bad at aggro with very low might, but pretty survivable with the BPE/mitigations/incoming heal and 18k morale. I have all ToO sets, hytbold sets, Moors' level 85 tanking set + 2 healing and pretty much all might/vitality skirmish armor pieces eventhough I don't use all of them. Also have the Erebor/Mirkwood jewels, but still trying to get the epic earings and the horse-lord wrists. I use both Saruman's cloak and necklace.

Kinship/grouping side:
I use TeamSpeak 3 and would use anything else if necessary. I can, but I am not very talkative (especially since I speak french (from Québec)), but I understand pretty well. I am used to Guildlaunch kinship site for signing up and other stuff. I show myself in-time for raids (hate to wait 30min-1h to set up a raid as our kin sometimes do). 20:30 would be a great time to raid and I like that there is a time limit of 3 hours also.
