Sanctuary - The Long Fellowship - long live the lowbies
Come late to LOTRO? Lose your kin to SWTOR? Feel like you missed out on content whilst power leveling to 65/75? Sanctuary is here to help!!!
Starting on 1/7/2012 in the morning US time, Sanctuary will be starting "The Long Fellowship". We will be rolling lowbies from level 20 and working almost exclusively on fellowship content on our way to Moria and beyond taking our time exploring some of the darkest nooks and crannies. In addition to working through some long ignored fellowship content, this will provide opportunities for people to learn instance leadership skills in a relaxed environment.
Please reply here, message me privately, find us in-game, or visit www.guild-sanctuary.com to learn more about this event. Membership in the kin is not required, but highly recommended to keep up on the whens and the wheres.

Hopefully you get a lot of people to join, sounds like a great idea. Our kin basically left to SWTOR, which I tried, wasted $60 on it lol. I might join you, I have 2 level 75, but I never did much other than questing, missed out on most of the Moria dungeons and beyond, except GS/School/Lib. Of all the MMO's LOTRO still is the best.
Re: Sanctuary - The Long Fellowship - long live the lowbies
Well, I "rolled up" a pair of characters on Ellendilmir to join this and I'm having a good time. We got together twice over the first weekend and its been fun. We ran GB Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday we also did some questing. The groups have been very cohesive and cooperative. The chat in the Kin channel is tons of fun. Sanctuary seems to have a nice group of people who know how to kid around, help one another and play the game. Kudos so far.
I'm looking forward to doing more in the way of Fellowship quests and the Fellowship epic quests, but there isn't much of that in the low 20's where we are now. Folks are building up their characters though. I'm looking forward to doing the Fellowship version of retaking Weathertop. I'm sure we'll get to that soon enough.

Then why do you play it? So far we've had a blast, so you can't really say if it sucks or not if you've never tried it before. We're also going to be doing stuff that you wouldn't normally do anymore during leveling (Fornost, Donnvail, etc.)

Good for you guys for helping people out! Kudos!
It's more of a for fun thing, but we are glad to have people join us!

We did this yesterday, and I have to say it was a lot of fun! One of the reasons I personally wanted to do the Long Fellowship was the opportunity to do these lower level group quests that I skipped on most of my alts. When my main went through this is was required to group, but after that I either skipped or soloed Weathertop.

I have at least 10 lvl 20-30 alts that I cannot bring myself to lvl because it is just far too boring.
Re: Sanctuary - The Long Fellowship - long live the lowbies
I have always felt that levels 1-35 were fairly easy to come by. Then once you hit 40 or so it really starts to slow down and by 50 it's a real drag with all of the traveling you have to do to the far reaches of Middle Earth. Mirkwood and beyond kicks up the speed of leveling again.
EDIT: btw we are nearly ready to start grinding some GA instances for fancy teals.

What I mean is that you haven't tried leveling up completely in a group. Also, we are making it more fun by doing content that isn't really run anymore.

Re: Sanctuary - The Long Fellowship - long live the lowbies
The regular TLF members have crossed into the low 30s and have been wreaking havoc in Garth Agarwen. So for anyone who wasn't interested in content for the 20s or already into their 30s, you now have an opportunity to give us a shout and get some Eglain barter tokens and become comfortable in our group before we hit what I believe to be the most neglected instance in the game.
Fornost
We have scheduled group times in Eastern Standard Time U.S. (-5GMT) are:
Saturdays - 9a.m. to 11a.m.
Sundays - 1p.m. to 3p.m.
Monday - 6p.m. to 9p.m.
Re: Sanctuary - The Long Fellowship - long live the lowbies
Just to mention, Fornost is an awesome instance! It was difficult at same level for some I suppose, but it is definitely one of the most fun instances to run through
Re: Sanctuary - The Long Fellowship - long live the lowbies
Our lowbies have reach 50 and some have gone over, but that means that we are ready to get the Saviour of Eriador meta deed. CD/Uru and the original BG plus Rift and Thorog!
Starting 6/9 in the evening US time.
Hop on over to our site guild-sanctuary.com if you want to come along.
Re: Sanctuary - The Long Fellowship - long live the lowbies
Dang, sorry I missed this thread when it started! I've been blessed with my RK that is currently on Nimrodel where he has done all the old content at or near level. The Rift is so much fun when you have a group that knows what they are doing I have an RK on this server as well at level 54 that would be interested in participating. I'll check out the site mentioned and go from there. Thanks for keeping the game interesting!
