Having just canceled my swtor subs just 3 days ago I can easily say that this server not only seems alive and well but by and far has waaaaaay more people playing at all times of the day than the "HEAVY" server I was on in swtor. Just about every planet after Nar Shaddaa in that game was a ghost town and the ones before it weren't that much better.
My time playing swtor in the betas and at launch has just made me appreciate just how much better this game is than just about anything else out there other than WoW ( which I would have to say that the two, lotro and wow, are atm the best there is when it comes to mmo's).

lol...they cant have any gungans becuase TOR cant do deep water.
i have yet to find ANY body of water that is more then waist deep.
and as for ewoks...killings jawas is just as fun
Haha in Star Wars:Battlefront I used to make a point to blast jawa and ewok AI bots all over the place. It was especially hilarious when you got a group of them with a thermal detonator or AT-ST. They went flying!
Yeah I didn't really notice much of a drop either. I know I was pissed when I realized TOR didn't have Jar Jar Binks or ewoks.
Were you actually serious or were you being sarcastic? JJ is the most hated character in any of the movies, and the Ewoks were said to be too fluffy and too cute which brought down the popularity of the 3rd (6th) movie. Empire is still the most popular of the bunch. So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you were putting in a light jab at those two characters. )

Yes I was making a little joke. You must have overlooked the post where I professed my enjoment of blasting whole groups of ewoks in Star Wars:Battlefront. There were gungans to blast too but they didn't look as funn flying through the air as woks and jawas.
All I see of that game is (supposedly) returning players (most of whom I have never seen chat before) in glff saying how well and truly boring it was and how happy they are to be back whining in BW global.
SWTOR is awesome MMORPG for star wars fans. Has its raiding, has its grouping. Half of our kin went to SWTOR, half still in LOTRO. Brandywine will always have pop I think. There are people of all types here. While Elendimir is RP for example Brandy has casuals, RPers, raiders, sillies, PvPers. Mix of all tastes and colors in other words.
I can't speak for other people, but I played Rift for 6 months.... And also played LoTRO alongside it. I currently have a sub for SWTOR and love it... And also raid regularly in LoTRO in addition to keeping my kin functioning. You don't have to completely rage quit any game in order to play another game.
Maybe that's why I had to quit playing on Elendilmir...same number of annoying people, but at least BW has a break from the inane glff posts during the wee hours of the morning.
That said, I think the answer to the OP is the same as after every other MMO release in the last 4+ years: Some oldbies left for a change of pace, some Jedis left for the lore, and some newbies who weren't yet invested in LOTRO went to try it out. Some of these people will be back, some play both, some you'll never see again. Not enough to make a huge blip anywhere but in PvP and some of the older and raiding kins. At the same time, new subs are going up, so it seems like the population is staying steady.
Work like no one is watching, dance like you don't need the money...
well i have SWTOR and this too, i am already maxed out in SWTOR and it gets very boring after a while, but i am sure they will add new things later, but right now i just log on there to raid then i come here

did you do each classes epic(each class supposedly has a different storyline) to L50 or you just do 1?

I did a few but it is the endgame and PvP that i am mostly talking about. I am currently leveling up another alt just for the story of it. It is a good game i am just very attentionaly deficient lol
