Thread: New To Scholar

Hey People.

Just a question, On my other toons all the crafting recipes (well most) can be bought from a NPC up to tier 6, For some reason on my scholar any NPC i have been to only sell up to Tier 3, why is this? i log into my jeweler or cook and go to the NPC and there they are up to tier 6 so only seems to be scholar? any advice and help would be greatly appreciated because i have just started this vocation and i cant seem to go any further without the majority of the recipes and grinding would take like forever with the drop rate on reciepes?

you need an expert __(insert craft here)__ to buy recipes past t3. for scholar your options are rivendell and the mathom house (in michel delving, you need aqquaintance with mathom society to enter). since you apparently have other (higher) toons, i would suggest farming haudh iarcith in the southern barrow-downs (around 35.1s, 55.2w on the southern barrow-downs map); you only need at most 15 well-kept mathoms to hit aqquaintance

It is a known bug introduced with update 5. Expert scholars are only selling recipes till tier 3. Supposedly there will be a fix... when? Soon, when is soon? You never know for sure with Turbine. My guess is in a hotfix, not in an actual update.

Scholar npc vendors, even of the expert variety, are seemingly the only ones with a limited inventory of recipes for sale. Perhaps the delivery wagon was overrun by orcs. Must've been smart orcs, they only took tier 4 recipes and up.

Thanks for the info i am artisan scholar on my RK, i asumed it was a bug! some poeple in game had said that it had been changed and u have to get them from drops but i refused to accept that as other npc for other professions still sell them! thanks and i will wait for the fix i guess!
