Where do Scholar crafting/game-play suggestions go?
To such a listing, I'd add a way to return those non-functional Scholar's Study locations to usefulness.
Namely, when doing scholar crafting at one of those locations, add a critical success chance based on the scholar's crafting level. For example, if the scholar has Expert level, then have Scholar crafting at a Scholar's Study equivalent to using an Expert crafting lore boosting scroll for scholars.
Or something...anything...
I realize those Scholar's Study tables are relics of a previous gameplay approach, and REALLY like that I can make potions, et al, ad-hoc in the field, but I'd like to have a bit more in-game interactivity as a scholar other than harvesting and filling-inventory-slots the so d@mn many ingredients needed to supply kin at all their various levels; not to somewhat off-setting the irritation of having to reserve my Milestone for Rivendell as the only Superior location available to lower level characters.
Or heck, maybe even better, let scholars bank scholar resources at those Scholar Study locations.
That's kind of how the western European banking system started after all, Crusaders put money into a militant monk's outfit in Europe and withdrew funds once in-country.
With a banking concept, there'd definitely be a reason to return to those low-level locations like Celanodim.
I like other posters' suggestions to have those scholar tables in housing decorations be a crafting node of some sort.
That'd work, story-wise, if we could bank resources at those non-superior scholar nodes. Conceptually, the at-home scholar would send a messenger out for the supplies.

The craft vendor as craft item banker is actually a pretty decent idea. I'm not one to promote new concepts in a game that has so many half-done old concepts, but I like this idea.
To many people, free will is a license to rebel not against what is unjust or hard in life but against what is best for them and true.

There is a superior study in the Mathom House in Michel Delving - you just need enough rep with the Mathom Society to be able to access the building - cannot remember the exact standing at the moment. So obviously you can fast travel there from Bree and other places, so hopefully that will free up your milestone skill. Not aware of any other superior studies easily accessible to lower level characters.

You only need to be acquaintance, easily reached by doing quests in the Shire.
With the recent Update 5, you could easily reach Acquaintance with Mathom Society by using Mathom or Well-Kept Mathom.
You just need 15 Well-Kept Mathom to reach Acquaintance.
Previously, you have to be level 30 in order to use Well-Kept Mathom.
Responders offer useful points on Superior Study locations, and I thank you for them as now I've a reason to seek reputation in the Shire.
But, you miss the point of the post.
My request/suggestion is to provide some sort of usefulness for the now defunct basic Scholar's Studies.
In this case, my request/suggestion was either or both of:
1) Provide a percent increase chance of critical success appropriate to the vocation level achieved by the Scholar. Make it equal to the equivalent level of Crafting Lore for scholar crafting.
2) Let us bank scholar-only resources at the basic and superior scholar studies. Then we'd definitely have a reason to find and use the basic ones because of the large advantage in freeing up a huge amount of inventory space.
