For 4 days now my fiancee and I, and probably many others, have been spammed by Acrux advertising for his kin C A M P O F S T R A N G E R S
it's always the same message and we both get the message at the exact same time. It's really annoying and cost my fiancee's character her life once cause she couldn't see what was going on for the kinship add popup. She visually impared and has to have the screen at a lower resolution.
We get the advert every hour and most times he is nowhere to be seen.
I know I'm just a free player, but we deserve to enjoy the game as well, especially since we have been seriously discussing membership.

If you add him to you ignore list the problem will be solved. Most kinship leaders who recruit like this don't understand people don't like it and as such continue in a detrimental way.
Yes, Spamming is against the rules. But ignoring them is turbines answer. All you can do is ask them nicely to stop (likely wont do anything) or Report them. Reporting anyone automatically puts them on your ignore list. GMs do pay attention to these reports and will either issue a warning or ban the player, depending on how many reports the player has against them already.
Just keep in mind, that you cant control the way others play the game, only the way you play the game. Sometimes ignoring people who bug you is the only option. Its not the easy way out, its the smart way out to enjoying your game.
Im just thankful LOTRO is no where like other MMO's and their spam bots. :/
1, its unnecessary, and annoying to everyone.
2, you can build a large kin without sending random kinship invites ( my kin has never sent random invites, we do however "spam" regional chat with recruiting advertising, which is not against turbines rules)
while there should be something you can do the only 2 options i see are,
1, ignoring them
or
2, going to the options, then social options, and toggle the option to dissalow kinship invites.
Many people i know have reported him for spam, and he messages even blind me Oo, turbine has not done a thing. The best thing is to ask him to shorten the message and tone down or turn off the colors
Ssupermann: I hate minis, they have satellite lazers

Aka do what fulk FINALLY did. It just took the Shire Revolt of *mumbles the right lotro year* to do it.
I just have to ask. did anyone else notice line two starts with NGERs?
That's a case of unfortunate word wrap, it's the continuation of C A M P O F S T R A (what's with the blanks, is that really the way the kin name is written?).
@Daremo: You can disable kin invites under options - social contacts - it's right at the top.
1. Put him on your ignore list. This person randomly sends invites from Bree. I have noticed this happening whenever I went through Bree on my alts. I told him to stop inviting me but he did not. Now my alts are in the kin as well so I no longer have this problem.
2. You can join a kin. Every kin is different and I am sure there are many that would be very welcoming to you and your fiancee.
3. You can turn off kin invites in your options. Camp of Strangers isn't the only kin that sends random invites, though it is probably the most persistent.

Lol looks back in teh Compendium of time........... *re-affirms quietly mumbled date*
Lol i solved this problem once and for all. I make my officers and kinsmen recruit for me now, lol as most of you may have noticed, lol im only out 2-3 times a week now recruiting of that, lol no where near my previous 24 hr attack.
As nerg said, If half the amount of people actually have reported me from teh ones that said tehy will for /regional recruit spamming, i think turbines proven they are not going to do a thing about it.
were going on what 15 months of me doing it first in Keepers vow then in my own kin, Not to mention teh 3 weeks after ROI where i turned creepside ooc into a recruiting zerg.
not to sound discouraging, But i get the feeling turbine stays out of anything dealing with kin vs players unless it gets derogatory and out of hand.

I think the simple fix to this, if Turbine felt so inclined is to ADD an ignore icon to the invite!! (You dont have time to ignore someone in the heat of battle, which with my 'Charlie Brown Luck' seems to be when I always get these JERKS, (Yes I called it straight,) spam inviting me.) Said it before and will say it again, once, ONCE, is find, when you recieve four or five in a row from the same person, ********!!!!!
