Thread: What have you named your pets?

Since my Loremaster is an elf I tried to name the pets in Sindarin:

Raven
black = Daw (eclipse)
white = Heledir (icebird)
red = Agarwaen (bloodstained)
spotted = Auth (vague, shadowy apparition)

Bear
brown = Tûr (strength/victory)
white = Heleg (ice)
black = Bauglir (tyrant)

Lynx
spotted = Rhaw (untamed)
black = Gellui (triumphantly)

Sabretooth = Achared (vengeance)

Boglurker = Thond (root)

Limrafin = Fae (spirit)

Raven: Lenore
White Raven: Ice
Bear: Duck
Lynx: Lynx

Raven: Korpensflykt
Korpens flykt kind of means Escape of the Raven in Swedish. It's from an old song I recorded.

Lynx: Ripper
Because... fangs and stuff...

Bear: Bamse
Got it from a Swedish cartoon where the protagonist is a bear named Bamse. Generally it's like slang for something big.

Chicago - Wildpaw Bear
Boston - Tundra Cub
Minnesota - Lynx
Philadelphia - Eagle
Cincinnati - Striped Saber-tooth

Future Pets will probably depart from the theme:

Jersey Devil - Bog-guardian
St Elmo - limrafn

Raven is named Edgar (in reference to Edgar Allan Poe's, "The Raven")
Bear is named Baloo
Lynx is named Sylvester

My bear is called Bobo - he is now the kin mascot :P

Practically invincible, nothing phases him - he can safely swim in acid, run through fire and run backwards and forwards through the black and purple auras.

Plus he often sits on the faces of other party members which is always amusing.

Well, as rookie that i am and only have 2 pets by now, follow the names:

I tend to take mine from Latin words. My raven is Avis, my Tundra cub is Glacialis, and my lynx is Felis. That's as far down the pet line as I've gotten so far, but I plan on continuing with this theme. :P I like it!

Lurker = FreakShow (because that was the named referenced in the movie "Independence Day" when the President (Bill Paxton) was initially shown what one of the aliens looked like, and these lurkers aren't that far off the mark

I only named two of mine, The Raven is Jester and the eagle is Gambit. Oh wait, I did name my big cat Sabre.

Like everyone and their dog, I named my raven "Poe." The kitties are "Bigglesworth". I have no idea what to name the spirit pet, so it was "Bling." I never considered the Bear/Eagle/Bog/whatever worthwhile given my play style, so they remain unused and unnamed.

I named my bear UncleBoris, and I don't remember my bird's name. #lowbieLM

For extra fun my man-at-arms herald is Concorde and my man bannerguard is Patsy. This contrasts with another captain on my server who named his herald Patsy and his bannerguard Concorde.
My dorf herald and bannerguard are Oli and Boli.

Lynx is Jakyl (in honor of my Vah Shir Bard from Everquest, has the same head)
Tundra Cub is Tupolev (after the Soviet-era Tupolev Tu-95 Bear bomber)

my fox was named by my 4-year old Swiper (Dora the Exploer fame)

Finally my warrior soldier is named Tweedledumb, goes well with my wife's RKs soldier Tweedledee.

I take great pride in naming my animal friends

Black Bear- Beorn ( love Beorn in the Hobbit, I like to think he keeps me company every now and then )
Frost raven- Luna ( since my LM does not have Luna in her name like my other alts, I incorporated it a different way)

Eagle I am not sure yet, I am lvl 37 and rising, still mulling it over. Same for the boggy!
