I got lucky. Got one box from the third dwarf I killed in DC. A few hours later, joined a raid in the delving and won the roll on another from a wood troll :P

still no keys? nothing else in lotro store?

At least we know they do drop in the delv now!

I got a box! Got it from an eagle at the pathway between ost and gv!

Lol @ 'Conveniently, from the store'. That would depend on how often they drop from normal mobs. If it's unrealistic to get hold of a key, then there's no convenience about it.

Finally got one from DC. Few dropped from there now. Seems to be a bit of a hot spot because of the spawn rate.

DC is the Dwarf Camp close to the Western exit of Isendeep.

I think the items are bugged - i got the box from a eagle and bought the key from the store, when i used them together i got literally nothing. Both items gone from my inventory and no sigil.

for some reason the sigils remind me of marks and stuff from skirms. did you look in your wallet for a sigil?

Yes i looked everywhere, went to all the barterers and vendors, checked to make sure i didnt have extra pots, couldn't find anything

Found my BOX at dwarf camp. Finally got the KEY. Opened it to find LEGS and FEET. YUP, LEGS and FEET! Well worth the 2 day grind. Thanks for nothing!

Ok so far we have 2 opened boxes = vendor junk ?

Of course these boxes just contain vendor junk. While the drop rate is extremely low on the chests and even lower on the key, I'd wager the sigil chances are even lower. Why? Because they allow players to gain traits/skins that you currently have to pay TP (money) to obtain. If they were easy to obtain then why charge players TP for their advanced skills and the new skins?

What's even more absurd to me is that anyone would think it would be easy or worthwhile to try and get freebies via sigils. If it was, it would mean lower revenue and make no mistake, this game is all about cash via micro. Your better off taking the time your spending PvE'ing and work toward ranking. As for the skins... well if you care about the appearances so much, then you obviously won't care to throw more money to Turbine.

what to search in the lotro store to view the point where i can buy the key ?

if they r going to make us spend TP on this stuff then there should be another way to gain it rather than just getting ur monthly stipend of 500TP for being VIP or Lifer.

Almost 2k NPCs killed
Mostly Slugs, DoF, Dwarf Camp
Some Eagles, Bears, Cows, HH

No Lockboxes, No Keys.

So 1/100 Drop, 1/1000 drop bugged or just reeaaaalllyyy unlucky?

Same story here:

- 1K+ Dwarves
- slightly less than 1k worms
- 1k bats and merrevail together

And small amounts of other npc's.

I think it's not bugged. It's just really, really low. Keep in mind you can buy skills from higher ranks with it. It's painful, but I don't think people were supposed to farm it. It's just something to get over time during raiding or questing. Still, not giving up. The reward is pretty high and I'll never run out of pot money and spirit stones after this ^^

Guys its not wortht he grind, 10 vials of blood of the fair folk is what i got after waiting 3 hours for turbine to put the keys in the store. Dont waste your time, unless you got time to waste lol.

Last 4 days since U5 out i was pulling beards at DC and look what i got from lootbox - 10 shards of troll stone.

Such items need to be locked up and can only be unlocked with a "lucky key"

i just got a key form an Umbral Horror in dof

Why, Turbine, don't you raise the drop chance with ranks? Rank 1 = 1% chance from random mob. Rank 15 = 15% chance.

15% means you get a drop every 7-ish mobs. That can't be right :P

That's for R15. How many are there world-wide? This would be a great reward for their grind (boxes should be BoA if it was this way, atm I think they are tradeable)

Scalpel on Dwarrowdelf looted a box off a dwarf at DC after fighting only 100 dwarves... she opened it and acquired 10 Footmen Badges.... 10 First Marshall Marks... and.................wait for it................. another Steel Bound Lootbox.........

P.S. Love their use of "convenient" in the Sigil item description/narrative. How pathetic of them. Farming Sigils and keys IS NOT CONVENIENT and being rewarded with garbage NPC items (upon winning said Sigil w/key) is DOWNRIGHT CRIMINAL.

AGREED. Its kinda like gambling, buying the key just on the chance that you could get a Sigil... the rewards in the box need to be way more significant.
