I cannot think of any character that would use it over +Agility, +Might or +Will or the odd PvMP using some +Vitality foods. I used to use them when my character capped Might prior to food, post caps, I just get +Might foods.
With the latest stat and resistance changes, crafting (and loot drops) have nor really been made to reflect the changes for any profession.
I think it may depend on their armor and weapon stats. If +fate food is available, then stacking might, agi, and vit is easier. Fate provides in-combat bonuses, so can't really be ignored.
To many people, free will is a license to rebel not against what is unjust or hard in life but against what is best for them and true.

but when would you want +fate over your classes primary stat, since there is no longer a stat cap?
Edit: I can think of one instance I might use +Fate food. When I am slumming greys for deeds to get my In-combat regens up.

Food, at least for my style of play, is used to enhance my stats. My armor, weapons, and traits give me my primary class stats. I use food to fill in the holes, or as the hobbits put it, the corners. My question to you would be, why would you even need icm/pr against greys? Perhaps, as a minnie, if you try to grab 3, 4, 5 or more mobs, then maybe yes.

While my mini is not at cap, I've heard alot of 75 mini's say they prefer +fate food. I guess if your over 1600 will the +60 from food is negligible while +60 to your 700 fate is an almost 10% increase.
I was thinking along the same lines with the new primary stat changes and the lifting of the caps. As far as my actual playtime goes, I will stick with +will food for now. I might try +fate just to see if it helps at all because I have some laying around already.

I would rarely use Fate over anything else unless I specifically needed power. For non-caster classes your Fate will likely be low and the Power from ICPR from Fate will trump the Power from Will. If you don't need Power you are almost certainly better off with Vitality food.
