I eat whatever food people in my Kinship give me. Usually it's +Will and I go something like "Uhhh, thanks! That's, um, very useful for me! Yeah..." and move on. If I could make myself yummies, I'd probably be eating +Fate food, as my fate is substantially lower than either my will or my vitality.
Cooks also seem to like to give me Lute Strings. Lots and lots and lots of Lute Strings. They're filling up my bags! And yet, the Scholars are very lax on making me Sheet Music. Good thing my alt is a Scholar...

I have some vitality food in case I get into a place where I have trouble with survivability, and I whipped up quite a lot of +fate food because I felt insanely guilty when my fate dropped below vitality, even with my +will/fate tale on. >.>
The only food I use nowadays is +vit food, non-crit version when I'd like a little extra and crit version when I'm doing something significant. I never use lute strings or those pages just because I don't really have threat or power issues.
At lvl 75, I use vitality food when healing since we are squishy. I also made myself the protector Draigoch cloak due to same reason.
For DPS I use fate food. With something like 1600-1700 will food with 42 or 64 will is not significant boost. However with 700 fate 64 fate is.
Surely, I am eating soups all the time (1400 resistance), some cooked food (oxtails at 75) for morale/power regeneration and also I am reciting scrolls for both defence and offence buff. In instances and raids I use also hope tokens.
Not that saves me from occasional one-shot wipes but at least my conscience is clear
Hmm, interesting. Yeah, I'm using +Will food right now simply because I have a stack of it someone gave me, but I don't really see a difference with or without. How much crit/etc does 60 Fate add when you're around 700 Fate? It seems like that might be the way to go all the time, since the ~180 morale you'd get from Vit food is basically nullified in a single hit. So it would come down to how much crit/etc you'd get from Fate vs. how much Resistance/etc you'd get from Vit I'd think.
Even though it seems minimal I still like to go with VIT food. I have yet to feel like my overall healing punch was insufficent. Frankly I dropped about 1500 outgoing healing from my peak in favor of additional morale (running about 18000 unbuffed right now) because the overall difference in healing pop at that point is just so miniscule.
Since I hit that comfort level of outgoing healing and never have sustainability issues it's now been just a game of slowly creeping up my survivability, which food helps out on. Granted once I passed that 6k unbuffed mark anything I've added beyon dthat has felt closer to "Icing on the cake" status, but still welcomed. I don't think I'll really feel like ramping up will/outgoing healing past where it's at until I start knocking on 7K morale unbuffed.
Note: beyond the 204 extra morale for food there's that tiny bit of extra physical mitigation it also provides as well as the times when you receive % morale based buffs that will make 204 worth even more.
I'm a will addicted... Same in PvE than in PvMP... So i use always will pots ^^ Sure not vit pots, because i can easily heal myself... 200 power = 1900 heal with bolster courage, so for me is better a 60 will food that give me 180 power and some tactical rating
